in chapter 14 where sunghoon walks out of their hotel room after briefly lacing his hands with yn , where does he go? and what made him change his mind and come back to her after denying her request to fuck her 😭

Let me preface this by saying when i wrote that scene it was never really a question of “will he or won’t he” NDNDND from either of their povs… like from readers perspective she only asked because she Knew he wouldn’t make fun of her or turn her away #sheseesthroughhim But when he did say no it’s Just because of his guilt. he feels undeserving in that moment because she literally cried the entire night because of him . ohhhhh ALSO 🤓 there’s a line earlier in the chapter from the flashback when they were younger which shows the foundation their core dynamic has.

“Yeah. And you can too, you know?” he says quietly (clearly deflecting, because you can always tell). “Doesn’t matter what it is. You could tell me anything.”

You know he means it. Deep down, you know—no matter how much you mess up or how ugly your thoughts get—he’d never turn you away. Even now, with half your heart aching for more, you know you could bare your soul to him and he’d hold it in his hands, gentle as always.

i think once you’ve reached #that soul connection level with someone where there’s no shame and you can say anything, it doesn’t just disappear even if you do fallout or hate each other and ultimately, he comes back because he wants her. 🙏🏼 amen. the hand holding was his way of trying to comfort her but sunghoon is so emotionally constipated it scares him and he runs outhjjjtnttnt he feels like he’s already messed things up too badly with how he’s treated her so in his head there’s no real way to fix it or go back and his whole repressed mindset at that point is like… if i’m not going to have her the way i actually want (because of his own mental barriers mind you), then the least i can do is give her what she’s asking for. like don’t be an asshole on top of everything else and deny her when she’s literally reaching out to you Man
