Gintama: Ch. 424, Total Sadist vs. Total Sadist [review]
While Hijikata and Kondo are discussing a very serious matter regarding a crime wave of samurai being butchered and having their swords obliterated in a mysterious manner, Sougo returns with Gin as his prisoner….and ripping Kusanagi out of his ass.
Surprisingly he managed to survive that… (ΘεΘ;)
After explaining to Sougo the details of why they need his scabbard for Kusanagi, they are caught in an awkward predicament where Sayako is completely attached to him and refuses to accept (or even remember) her sword-husband.
And after Kusanagi returns to his former dirty ass, Gin comes up with a solution to this by challenging Sougo for the right of taking Sayako through a real sword fight to determine which is the better sword.
Well after many years and seasons we finally get to see one of Sougo’s desires fulfilled at last; to cross swords with Sakata Gintoki.
And all it took was an alien amanto-sword up Gin’s ass.
Of course Kondo and Hijikata are totally against this as it breaks one of the Shinsengumi’s codes for personal battles. But of course Gin knows just the right words to get under their skin, and ultimately the match is set for the two.
Once things died down, the four return to Tetsuko’s shop to discuss how things are going to work out as far as the fight. But first things first; gotta get Kusanagi out of Gin if they want to win Sayako back. Of course he’s more than traumatized by his wife’s infidelity and took it as a major blow to whatever was left of his pride as a sword.
They even attempted pulling him out with a truck to get him out. (∩▂∩); But thanks to Tetsuko’s kind words he finally is persuaded that he just needs to get back into shape in order to prove that he is a great sword still….
which would have been convincing if he hadn’t shattered on the first strike of her hammer. (ノ_・。)
Hopefully things will turn out better than this for the next chapter, but either way we will finally get to see whether Gin really is a match against Sougo or not.
