Take Me To Church| Titus and Michael
Mass had just finished for the afternoon, leaving Wade to clean up and speak to any lingering members. They all spoke on and on about their worries, constantly asking them if God was listening. Deep down he wanted to tell them no, because God was too busy chewing his ear off with his messages. If he could, he would give all of his church goers five minutes with the man upstairs. Sadly, he didn’t have that power. The last people ambled out of the double doors and to their cars to leave to their respective homes. Once Wade was alone, he plopped himself down on one of the benches and sighed. It always tired him to do this job, but he did love it (surprisingly). He enjoyed seeing the joy and relief on the faces of his audience, knowing that he was giving them something to believe in.
The preacher put his head in his hands and closed his eyes. There was a few things left for him to do before he could go home and relax. Right when he was ready to get up and work, he heard someone walk in. A odd sense of dread washed over him as Wade quickly got to his feet to see who it was. The man was tall, and handsome, but there was something about it that was off. Wade straightened out his clothing and smiled uneasily at the stranger, “Hello. Can I help you with something?”
