chaehyun taking advantage of the moment when her best friend falls asleep to sneak into your room without any problem, wow! i see this more as a secret thing behind your sister’s back, having all sorts of adventures with her best friend, but without telling her because she's the boring type who tells her friends, “the rule is: don’t mess with my siblings.” such a boring! you’d swear your sister actually does those kinds of things because she wants to piss you off and find any reason to argue with you rather than “protect” you from her bad influence friends, but you always pretend to agree with her rules and commands in front of her, just to gain her trust and loyalty and then make her never doubt your sisterhood and even less know that you’re sleeping with all her friends behind her back.

gryffindor vs slytherin, a rivalry that has been going on for years, hogwarts wouldn’t be hogwarts without it. another thing hogwarts wouldn’t be with was quidditch and their quiddich cup. today both things joined to entertain the whole student community, the stands were full of people wearing red and green, ravenclaws were rooting for the slytherin team because they had lost to gryffindor meanwhile hufflepuffs were doing the same but with the lion’s house. both teams were already on the field waiting for madam hooch to blow the whistle and start the match.
your job was to win the snitch for your team and make them win the cup you were pretty confident in your abilities as a seeker, you were fast and had good control over your broom. in the past matches, you were the one who caught the snitch giving 150 points to your team, and you were sure you were expecting to do the same in the final game. what you were not expecting though, was for the gryffindor team to switch their usual seeker, third-year seo youngeun, to kim chaehyun. you shared a big amount of classes with the girl and you never thought she could be the quiddich type and much less a seeker, this would be interesting, you thought.
lost in your thoughts you didn’t notice the game had already started until you saw a bludger coming straight to your face, your quick reflexes prevent you from getting hit and having a broken nose, “careful, y/n, you don’t want to ruin your beautiful face.”
you chuckled “you are right, i don’t want you taking away the title of “the hottest seeker”, although i know you’d live up to the expectations” you could see the blush rising up her face but you didn’t comment anything on it “i didn’t know you played quidditch”
“i wasn’t interested in it at first but then i saw how good you were at the sport and decided to be your competition,” she said
“well, if you don’t start using your pretty eyes to look for the snitch you are not going to be considered my competition.”
“my team is winning at the moment so i can look at more interesting things, like you.” she winked
“y/n! stop talking and focus on finding the snitch” the captain shouted at you, receiving a salute from you.
you scanned quickly the field spotting a golden object flying in the air “i had a good time talking to you” you started “maybe we can continue another day in hogsmeade” you moved your broom and quickly made your way to where the small flying ball was, chaehyun following after you.
“it seems that both seekers have spotted the snitch!” the commentator said “they are head to head, this is a seeker battle, who’s going to win it? by the way, today is the first time we are seeing the gryffindor on the field and we have high expectations of her!”
from the corner of your eye, you could see the girl tense up and slow down a little, it was a really small action that could go unnoticed by anyone but you noticed and instead of taking advantage of it, you slowed down too “hey, don’t listen to them, you are doing great for your first time” the snitch had already gotten far away and you couldn’t see it anywhere so you stopped completely taking time to rest. looking at the score you could see that your team was now in the lead with a difference of 70 points, the other seeker also had seen it and her nerves were increasing “calm down, if you let the nerves consume you, you are not going to focus on your task, so breath and don’t look at the score.” she did as you told and started breathing more calmly until she calmed down while you looked for the snitch around the field.
chaehyun was the first to spot it this time and made her way to it, one of the beaters on your team saw her getting close and sent a bludger her way, she was too focused on reaching out for the golden sphere that she didn’t notice the object coming, but you did. you flew around as fast as light and arrived just in time to block the bludger from hitting her receiving the hit yourself making you fall from your broom. the last thing you heard before your sight turned black was “chaehyun has caught the snitch! 150 points for gryffindor!”
when you woke up in the infirmary it was late in the night, probably midnight. you were alone and it was dark, the moonlight was the only thing making you identify a little your surroundings. you saw a basket full of candies with a note on it on the chair next to you, you took the note and smiled.
fortunately, you broke your arm and not your nose, thanks for that btw.
the three broomsticks next saturday, 3 pm. i’ll buy you a butterbeer to show my gratitude.

yep, losing the cup against gryffindor never felt great, but this time was the best thing that could have happened in the year, and if getting hit by a bludger meant a date with a beautiful girl you were going to do it more, i mean you had magic that could cure you in seconds what could go wrong?
