The temper of his queen frightens him at times, but her emotions are justified. If there is one thing she DESPISES its situations not going her way. People not BENDING to her will. News has to be on point and never horrendous. 

This is one of those times where all he can do is stand back and watch her tear apart her chambers. He’ll have to TIDY it up later, but he’ll do it gladly because he’d rather her take it out on the room than him. 

            “My queen.” His voice is soft and reassuring and all he wants if for her             to stop her RAMPAGE and look at him. He hates seeing her so riled              up and flushed with anger. “Please.”

“My brother has not returned from war.                  This truth shall not leave these walls                                            until the festival is over.                                                           Do you understand?”

The usually gentle princess’ voice was harsh as she regarded her staff, dark eyes cast to her bare feet as little flowers were being woven into her hair. It was preparation for an annual festival, and it was meant also to celebrate the king’s return from war. He had not returned, and Kailee’s  gut told her that she was going to face this alone. Her resolve was starting to break. So much so, that she hadn’t noticed her visitor in the doorway.

             “I trust that you can be discreet, correct? I meant to speak to you directly about this matter---”

   he’s grinning, he honestly doesn’t mean to. but there is something about a woman that looks like she wants to deck him that he enjoys. maybe enjoy is too mild of a word. but it’s the word he’s going to go with for now. after all, any  thing else is just crass.
