♆ The worst kind of neighbor they could have, and how they deal with them 

Considering Emilia’s personality and how she handles herself in her daily life, she’s pretty sure the worst neighbor for her would be someone that doesn’t give her personal space (as in, coming over all the time, always wanting to go out), and is just a handful to deal with (in other words, the opposite of her).

How she would deal with them would be nicely asking them to give her the space she needs, and they could hang out/go out. She might like being friendly, she needs her space.

When she’d first decided on beginning this journey only a short time ago, the petite female had been worried that the outside world was much more terrifying than what she had read about in textbooks or seen on television. She knew that there was corruption, of course, as no society was perfect – but she never would of thought that there would be so many kindhearted people who were willing to assist people they’d never even met before. It was something that truly warmed her heart and she couldn’t help but mirror the feeling welling inside of her, a sunny smile tugging at her lips as she looked up at the older female.

She’d been struggling with a number of papers she’d printed out at the library, a tall stack positioned in her tiny arms as she’d attempted to navigate unfamiliar territory. She had intended on asking the local Professor on behalf of Santalune’s Trainer School about some new curriculum for the upcoming year and anything else they’d thought necessary, but she never thought she would of gotten this much information to take back with her. 

Aurelie had just been about to topple over with the mountain of papers before someone quickly stepped in, scooping a little over half of the documents away from her and gesturing in the northern direction, “ We’re not too far! .. Uhm, I think so anyway .. “

“I think you’ve practiced enough in front of the mirror.”

“Maybe you’re right, maybe you’re not. But I think that’s up to me to decide, don’t you think?”

“...Not that I have any idea as to what you’re talking about, of course.”

Vela herself had never considered herself much of an extravagant traveler in the past. Her move to her current region of Unova aside, Vela hadn’t bothered to see much of Kanto or Johto, Sinnoh she had heard plenty about, however unfortunately she’s always been too busy to travel, and even less inclined to give herself a break. Passion is only worth anything if it’s followed by perseverance, and Vela never gave up on something she’s set her mind to.

Then again, things have changed.

Being the newest Champion of the Unova region, Vela thought that perhaps it might be best if she were to... travel for a while, acquaint herself with other Leagues, and hold a proper introduction. Which is why she was currently bundled up in Anistar City, a heavy coat thrown over her shoulders to help combat the chill of a late winter. She had made an arrangement with Champion of Kalos, Ziarae; to meet here. Vela’s trips to Kalos weren’t often, so she decided to kill two birds with one stone, and get a chance to examine the beautiful Anistar City Sundial. It’s origins and purpose were shrouded with mystery, suffice to say she just couldn’t resist. Swaddling herself up in her coat, she stood in front of the spectacular sun dial, simply pondering. It was only after hearing the sound of footsteps, did her attention divert, and she bothered to turn her head.

“Ah, Miss Caglistro.” Vela said, turning to face her, hand extended out politely. “I’m glad you could meet with me here today. I hope it wasn’t too much trouble.”

Over the years the Parfum Palace had held numerous exclusive events, but none were quite like the Articuno’s Eve ball. Everyone who worked there had made an impressive effort to ensure everything was just so, not a leaf out of place on the hedges or broken fairy light in sight. Somehow, the budget had nearly been exceeded in a bid to make it as spectacular as possible.

       Now, the hard work paid off. Earlier in the week his expensive suit was dry cleaned to perfection and currently he stood in front of his mirror, fastening a cuff and adjusting his tie. Trepidation caused his stomach to flip like a pancake. He’d had his fair share of exclusive guests, but there was one the novelty had never worn off of; Ziarae.

      He passed several painful hours of waiting with flutes of bubbling champagne, small talk with other guests and repetitive introductions. As soon as he heard the familiar chatter that signalled the arrival of someone important, he caught Ziarae’s name through the crowd. He spotted her unmistakable red hair almost immediately and wasted no time in approaching, a drink for her in hand.

      “It’s good to see you here, Ms. Caglistro.” Formal as ever. He offered the glass and stole a quick up and down of her dress. “Please, enjoy the night.”

5: How would your OC generally react to someone being verbally abusive towards them for no apparent reason?

It really depends on the mood Gabe is in. He’s not a violent person so he won’t use his fists to settle it. Usually, he’ll brush it off with a couple curse words and ignore the person, but if he’s rather surly he won’t be afraid to bite back.

7: Does your OC have any irrational phobias?

The only real phobia Gabe has is losing someone; once he becomes close with someone he is constantly paranoid that they’ll up and leave. It makes for a tricky thing to deal with, since he won’t talk about it and attempt to sort it on his own.

8: How is/was your OC’s relationship with their parents?

Not bad, but not good. As a child he was quite disconnected from his father, since most of his time was spent away working. This became worse once he remarried and the relationship between Gabe and his stepmother was never good to begin with; he resented her. However, he adores his mother. She worked constantly, but spent time caring for Gabe whenever she could ( and spoiled him ). 

27: Does your OC practise any kind of escapism? If yes, what kind?

At times, yes. Gabe buries himself in work when things get rough. Will also have the occasional cigarette or two to distract himself from stress or an emotional low.

     Nick raises his brows as he’s handed the evolution stone, a soft ‘huh’ of wonder escaping him. Baron -- as the small fairy-type preferred to go by, even after trying to fix the Cleffa’s name into something more ‘proper’ -- wasn’t being raised for battles, so evolving him hadn’t really crossed the elite’s mind yet. Especially since the pokémon was still so young.

     Of course, he still flashed a smile of thanks as it was pocketed. The shirt, however, seemed to elicit a more positive response. Can’t get enough of those.

It was strange. Ziarae’s hands delicately wrapping a scarf around his neck felt comforting, something he hadn’t experienced in years. He paused in the hallway, perfectly still to let her hands secure the ends and adjust sections of the soft wool. If only she were fussier and spent more time fixing it. He hadn’t the courage to ask her to adjust his tie, too.

“Thank you,” he reached for a scarf hanging up on a wall hook. “Here. Let me put one on you.”
