Hi angels. I know this post is different from what I usually do on here, but with my ‘importance/advice’ week happening on nycbambi.com, I thought this would be the perfect time to talk about the issue that SK-II and I have collaborated on together to spread an important message! 

Whether we are aware of it or not, there are still pressure on women from society to get married all over the globe, and at an early age. Though some might think this is a light issue, we do not realize how much that pressure can effect that individual’s feelings, mentality, and plans for the future. In a world where pressure exists everywhere; in social media, in education, in culture, it can seem suffocating to add pressure on marriage, too. I know that I suffered with a lot of pressure because of school expectations and social media standards, and I put the pressure on myself to find the love of my life at a young age, being the romantic that I am, just because I thought that was the right, or the ‘cool’ thing to do. Imagine the frustration when marriage, marrying the person you are going to hopefully spend your life with, is thrown into the mix. Imagine getting forced into marrying someone you don’t truly love at an age where you are supposed to be focusing on your own goals and developing who you are. Imagine feeling the pressure of parents, or the people you love, forcing you into something where you know it isn’t the right thing for you.
