Car trouble

The other day Mum drove my car for a 20 minute journey and the clutch went 3 times! The first time she completely freaked out and panicked. She was like ‘oh my god! What do I do?!?!’ so I calmly explained that she had to lift her foot off the clutch and let the car roll until the clutch comes back up and then put her foot on the clutch and put it in gear. It is terrifying when it first happens because you can’t put it in gear. It’s also annoying when you’re trying to brake and the clutch goes because it feels like the car doesn’t want to brake and then you press more firmly on the brake and the car stalls. It’s great fun. She also tried to put it in reverse and failed twice because you have to use a lot of strength to actually put it in reverse. From these things she then said that I needed a new car. She has known that I’ve got a dodgy clutch for quite some time now and it’s only because she experienced it for herself that realised how dangerous/annoying it is. Apparently she wants to get me one soon but she said she was getting me one last summer for my 21st and then she said that she might get me one for Christmas and here we are at summer again. I’m not getting my hopes up or anything but next weekend I’m going to test drive a couple of cars that Dad has been to look at so fingers crossed!
