I’m curious as to how Amelie developed her wings 👀👀👀 was that a side effect of finding or hanging out around calix so much or was it just in her blood to begin with??

also in terms of interactions…..(slides a box of clones and one very nervous electric gorl onto ur doorstep)… i think as victims of Unethical Science they’d all find some common ground with Amelie and calix… Neha would really resonate with being a runaway and ruin diving in places where you probably shouldn’t be, and s!wis i think would be trying her best to help their situation in some way but not really knowing how?? She probably settles on just bringing them fresh water and snacks every so often lololol

funnily enough, i view her wings much like wisdom teeth. The first set (the smaller and lower) were the first to develop but the body horror of them and her parents disgust led to her hiding them as best she could (literally strapping them down, hoping childishly that they might just fall off)

they did not, but they do have stunted growth. Her second pair didn’t fully form until she had run away.

as for if it’s tied to calix, yes and . no. LENDKWN I don’t think it happens because of calix but because of calix, she stops (consciously) repressing herself- it was always in her blood. It’s also just her aging really, older versions of herself will probably have more feathers.

I think amelie is probably the most suspicious of them, especially without the knowledge that they are, in fact, clones and her baseline for most interactions is untrusting. She wouldn’t accept help out of hand because . tf you mean you have no ulterior motive.

that’s not to say she won’t ever open up, i think with neha especially she can relate to not quite feeling like “herself” for some time and struggling with changes outside of her control. It just takes her a long time to feel comfortable with admitting that, but i feel she definitely finds some relatability with neha.

UNFORTUNATELY FOR AMELIE, CALIX DOES NOT HOLD SUCH SUSPICION. Obviously, he’d never do anything that would compromise any of the people he lives with, but he’s definitely more open to getting *and* giving help. I think he’d be very eager to accept whatever s!wis offers (as well as offering her rare metals and gems in return that probably *far* outweighs the “price” of whatever is being given), even if amelie gives him a bit of a disapproving look when she finds out
