This is Chantae, my Pokemon self-insert! She's an ex-model from Kalos and moved to Galar, and takes over as the ghost-type gym leader from Allister since kids don't need that kind of pressure on them.

Had a lot of fun drawing these ladies. Of course, don’t think this will make it easy to tell them apart--these three are more than happy to swap clothes and hairstyles for a day just to tease everyone around them.

This picture is super special because it marks the first time ever that I drew picture for each day of July!!! I don't think I ever managed to actually do that for any other challenge or event before! It's incredibly important to me, especially after I've had such an intense art block before.
would Chantae have gym trainers??
Ye!! I haven't thought too much about what changes she'd make about the ghost type gym, if any. At most she'd encourage her gym trainers to be a bit more lively, since death and ghosts already have a bad reputation for being dark and scary, when they generally just... Need a friend.

Regarding this ask!
So fun fact!! I have a drabble I started a while back where Chantae goes up to the Galarian Pokemon League to argue about the kids being gym leaders way too young and all that, and they ask her how they're going to find replacements without delaying the gym challenge.
She tosses out her team of ghost types in response, and they press her about a fighting type leader.
And she actually has a friend she made a while back when she was still relatively new to Galar who is very energetic and positive, very active (while she is very not ), and I have tentatively named him Bruce!
So she calls up Bruce and explains the situation and he goes on a rant over the phone about all of the developmental and health concerns about so much stress so young, and keeps going even as he walks into the room everyone is in for this Big Meeting.
And Chantae just settles in with the other gym leaders who were there to support her (including Leon and Raihan) and let's Bruce go off and insist he could be the fighting type gym leader!
what does Chantae think of Bea??
Chantae thinks that Bea is a wonderful trainer with lots of potential! But she's also just a kid, and deserves the chance to focus on growing and learning without the pressures that come with being a gym leader and constantly in the public eye.
Chantae will 100% pseudo-adopt Bea right alongside Allister!
Just putting this here so I can remember to update stuff on this blog: Mitra is getting a bit of an overhaul, starting with the fact that I'm changing her name!
It's now Chantae, which is a French name for "Sweet song", since she's from Kalos!"
