Lance Alea's death begins in chapter 120 of The Beginning After The End, with Arthur awakening after an intense battle. The Beginning After The End reveals the life of a wealthy King Gray who lived in a world ruled by martial ability. He has been reinstated to change the mistakes of the past and lives in a world filled with monsters and magic. In the final chapter of The Beginning After The End, Arthur wakes up to see his blade wondering what happens after mysterious white feathers heal his wounds. Arthur wonders if this is a regeneration ability and believes Sylvia's Beast works wonders. Previously on The Beginning After The End Chapter 119 Arthur kneels down and notices that Lance Alea has lost his legs with a chest injury. Alea cannot see who is casting a healing spell and asks who it is. Arthur tells him to relax. Alea realizes this guy knew her before they met. Arthur reveals that this is the boy she met at Xyrus Academy, and tells him that he is the same age as her brother. Alea remembers him and smiles, realizing the two have had an incredible trip down memory lane. She reminds him that he is the boy who was spying on Bairon and wonders how he got here. Arthur tells her to stop talking because she is hurting herself, and he can focus on her healing. Alea holds Arthur's hand and tells him to stop as he knows she is dying and cannot be saved. Arthur apologizes, and she tells him not to do it because it's not his fault. Alea tells him that she's been feeling better since he arrived, and he asks her if there is anything he can do. She shakes her head, and Arthur realizes that this could be her death. Arthur sheds tears and wonders how this could have happened to her and why she is in this state. Alea wonders if he asks her why she is still alive. She shows Arthur her hands with a bit of magic and says "HE" kept her alive that long for revenge. Arthur wonders what's going on, and she dies to show him what happened using the mana he imbued with her earlier. Alea hugged it to his chest, and he saw what happened during the battle where Alea's group was defeated. She told him that she was not ready to die.
