floramaria & edgar’s marriage is as soft as it is strong, however of late they have been struggling with the realities of some fertility issues. having children just may not be on the books for them. this has a big impact on floramaria, who has always wanted children one day - how edgar feels about this is entirely up to whoever makes him. ultimately, this may end up making their relationship stronger but at the moment things are definitely strained.
they met in vienna, austria while they were both travelling. floramaria toured europe for a year before joining the british ministry as an undertaker. she has since left and opened her own small shop, feeling unsafe as a muggleborn in the ministry. what edgar does is open. they were friends for a handful of years before finally taking their relationship to the next step, and are about to celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary.

i’ve been working this idea out in my head for a few days now, so i just wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone is interested. request under the cut <3
so, in my head this is a request for louis tomlinson because i am trash, but i would be open to other suggestions. my harry, kalen, is a fey who spends his days working as a horse trainer and giving riding lessons with his sister occasionally. a couple of years ago, he was giving a lesson to a group of humans when he realized one of the boys in the group wasn’t human, but a changeling. he kept his mouth shut because humans never ever react well to changelings for obvious reasons, but from that moment on kal was rather obsessed with this boy. for the past couple of years, kal has been watching him, not in a creepy, stalker way or anything but sort of inserting himself into the boys’ life whenever possible, making friends with him, just waiting for the day that the boy realizes that he’s not exactly human, and since he stopped aging about a year after kal met him, that should be happening any time now. basically these two are friends, kal is half in love with him, or as in love with him as kal can be, and he just wants to help the boy through everything when he realizes that he’s fey and not human. i just think it could be really fun to play out and honestly, my very first thought when we brought up changelings was that louis would be the perfect face for a changeling and i just really want this if anyone is interested <3
boudreaux, blackman & voss is a consulting firm in the broadest sense of the word, and i mean the broadest. they offer their clients magical services, through spells, potions and charms among other things. they will hear all requests and fulfill practically any wish, for the right price. the company is far from the traditional image of witchcraft, with a modern office building (magically protected of course), parking spaces, full healthcare and dental, and even company holidays (bacchanalia party anyone?). employees are sharply dressed, immaculately groomed and every bit as polished as a regular office worker.
though really, nothing about boudreaux, blackman & voss is ever regular.
i’m looking for the two other founders of the company and have got short blurbs for them here. i really want a group of close knit women who are fierce and independent and KICKASS. i’ve attached backstory ideas and first names, but you’re welcome to change and play around with things, i really want this to be a plot that we can kind of develop together, so their relationship with each other feel natural. it’d also be cool because we can headcanon the company, i obviously have ideas, but i’d love to bounce other ideas around and stuff and just kind of develop because that’s my FAVOURITE. also the company needs people other than these ladies, so any other employees are welcome, even warlocks!!!!!
‘stella’ boudreaux has her roots in the deep south. she came from a family of witches and was known to be particularly gifted with spells and enchantments but was forced to flee her home in her twenties after she and her family became the target of hunters. she made her way to asheville and met victoria’s mother elizabeth, a fellow witch, who agreed to harbour her. it was stella’s idea to sell their services as witches and she and elizabeth ran a modest business for many years. after elizabeth’s husband died and elizabeth herself passed, stella was persuaded to expand the business by elizabeth’s daughter victoria and the company soon evolved, especially with the addition of mara blackman. stella as the most experienced and talented witch amongst them is the ceo of the company and personally oversees much of the research department, which goes with her particular talent for developing new spells and charms that can be rolled out to the public and sold for a hefty premium. her suggested face is gina torres, and her suggested age range is early fifties upwards mostly because i can see her using a lot of youth spells or whatever.
‘mara’ blackman appears to be the most unlikely witch that ever did live. ivy league educated with an mba and an impressive financial career at her back. however, her experimentation into magic during college to supplement her academic career put her onto a darker path in which she used magic to fuel her ambition in the financial world. she met victoria voss at a business conference who immediately recognised her hidden pentagram ring and they became friends. victoria broached the subject of launching the company to mara in stella’s stead as they required someone with financial experience to oversee the money involved. mara agreed, having become tired of having to keep her interest in the occult to just herself and now operates as the cfo of the company. she keeps the books immaculately and obsessively. she also keeps a particular eye out for those who do not keep up with payments and is allowed to deal with them as she sees fit. after all, in her own words, pencil pushers need to have some fun too. her suggested face is lucy liu and her suggested age range is late thirties upwards, depending on whether or not she uses magic to prolong her life/keep her looking young.
victoria voss is a wealthy asheville native, her late father being a prominent asheville businessman and her late mother, a homemaker and witch. her family was a prominent fixture in asheville but was known for being secretive and keeping themselves to themselves. victoria has been acquainted with stella since her birth as stella was one of her mother’s closest friends, both of whom she learned magic from. victoria herself took a break from magic when she went to MIT. she returned after college and resumed her dealings with witchcraft while working for a software development company and hating every second of working under someone else. however that soon changed when her father’s death and eventually her mother’s death left her with a substantial amount of money. she approached stella with the idea of expanding her little magical business from a two woman affair into something more substantial and used part of her inheritance for the start up capital and thus the company was born. victoria herself invented and implemented the company’s spellbook app grimoire, as a communal spellbook that is updated with spells as stella invents them. she functions as the coo of the company and you can’t even take a piss break in the company without her knowing about it. she is played by priya (meeeee).
My amber heard character (serena archer) needs her psychology professor\boyfriend. these two met earlier this year in nyu, and from the moment they laid eyes on each other they could feel it, that evident click, stronger than any common sense or body control. that kind of tension couldn't be contained in the same room for too long, and after three or four months they hit it off. now matt is a pretty well-known bachelor around campus, he was courted and lusted after by many young and older women before, but never inclined - at least not at work. there were even rumors that he might be gay. little did they all know that he used to find his women in certain...clubs, circles...and so on. but serena is his exception. he hasn't had a "normal" monogamous relationship in nearly eight years, and usually goes for instant sexual gratification with no strings attached. serena is very naive and inexperienced so he's basically her first in everything. he also tries to drag her to the somewhat "dark side" of his liking in bed. he has a tendency for control in real life and especially in sex. so their relationship is a secret, but also very intense one since she constantly feels like she has to catch up with him and be more than she is due to his "special" lifestyle and preferences. basic info is...his member group is civilian and the play by is matt bomer. no changes please, i love aheard x mbomer too much - this crackship is hot ! age should be somewhere between 30 - 35 cause he is, after all, a university professor and supposed to have some experience in life. ad right here<3
