As mentioned, there are other fantastic artists who have more tutorials regarding character movement/gestures/line of action, etc. One of the artists providing these is GRIZandNORM and you can see refer to their tutorials HERE.
I’m not a professional and still have many ways to improve myself, so bear that in mind! The most important thing that you should always remember is that all this takes constant practice! Study/draw from references as much as you can, and you will improve until it becomes part of your muscle memory! Don’t focus too much on details and accuracy the first few times. You can go over that after you’ve improved/nailed the base of your drawings.
Also, don’t be afraid to get messy! Have a cheap sketchbook where you dump all your studies (you can have them divided into sub categories if you want to be more organised - have one sketchbook for gestures, one for anatomy studies, etc). Just keep drawing!

[ Disclaimer: I have 0 knowledge about game programming, I don't understand the original tutorial since I don't have a single clue about programming . I just randomly stumble left and right, and somehow got the answer right(?). I made this tutorial for my future self, in case I forgot how to make it again. This blog post maybe edited in future.

- Go to texture, and click generate a place holder
- Fill the info, click save, and you have your character!

- Click replace it, and click to your character image.

- Right click it, and choose create a type from it.
3. Action
- Click Project, and catmods to make sure the keyboard is in check mark.
- Click Action and Input methods
- Click Add an action
- Name it MoveX
- Click Add an input method.
- Select right keyboard, click select.
- Add an input method. Select left keyboard, click select.
- Don't forget to change the multiplier like the picture below.
- Add more action, and name it MoveY, and do it similarly to MoveX except it is up keyboard, and down keyboard.
- Don't forget to change the multiplier like the picture below.
