Lara had only left her flat to check that there wasn’t any mess outside. She’d spent the entire day cleaning while waiting for Fletcher’s arrival and the longer she waited the more anxious she got. They agreed that she didn’t have to pick him up because his flight had been delayed and neither of them knew when he’d arrive. She hadn’t noticed the approaching figure and when she suddenly found herself pushed up against the wall with lips pressing against her own, she froze up. Gazing into familiar brown eyes, she immediately relaxed and closed her own, arms coming up to wrap around Fletcher’s neck. When the two of them separated there was no noise but the sound of their breathing and after a moment she recollected her thoughts and finally spoke. “So, I take it you missed me?”
