It needs a title...

Nathan now has his crime fighting name. It's Talos. It doesn't mean anything, so it can't be taken to mean anything like "I am mighty and you all are gonna get your asses kicked" or something like that. It used to be The Element, but, I've removed a good chunk of his powers (he no longer has power over the elements... go figure). Now, I just need to figure out what the hell I'm going to call this story/comic or whatever it's supposed to be.

Food is fuel

Michael Phelps, while training, eats 12000 calories a day. I wonder how much someone like Batman or Superman has to eat to maintain enough energy to fight crime.

I was thinking about how much Nathan would have to eat in order to take up nightly rounds, and I settled in on 6600 a day, but thinking about it now, that seems almost too little.

I tabbed out a breakfast for him, and that would be two egg and cheese croissants, two medium orders of hash browns, a 5 piece of french toast sticks (with syrup), and a hot cup of tea for breakfast... add to that 5 other meals in the day and that'd be what he'd eat. Of course, the sodium is overwhelming (3450mg), but, yeah.

Perhaps he should learn to cook...

On the nature of Nathan

I'm writing a young, dorky superhero. He's black and gay. Because I feel there needs to be more of that. Not just more positive characters of colour, but more positive LGBT characters.

Ch 1 rough

Nathan stared absentmindedly at his computer screen, trying to work up something from the depths of his brain. Between the general feeling of tiredness he had and the party that was thump thump thumping next door, concentrating was becoming a real chore. Sighing, he resigned to the idea he was going to get nothing done tonight.

"Nathan? Nathan! You're not really doing homework on a Friday, are you?" He heard from the door.

"Yeah, Dale, some of us have to work during the week." He mumbled in response.
