Character Intro: Azrielle (the ESO universe)
Azrielle, or Az is a Redguard (race) and a Dragonknight (class) on Elder Scrolls Online. She is an original character in an established world.
Az is a member of the Black Lilies (my creation), an all-female, mixed-race pirate crew.
As a Redguard, Az has an affinity with heat and the desert. Her race are heavily focused on combat, and as a Dragonknight she has an affinity with dragons and magic (especially earth and fire magic).
Az is fairly hot-headed and will go for her sword at the slightest provocation. She is stubborn and will rush into things without thinking. She hates limitations and will blast through despite the consequences (and then obviously regret it afterwards).
She is also really loyal but this is currently getting her into scrapes. She feels like she owes the Captain of the Black Lilies for rescuing her, and is therefore a member of the crew. As a pirate crew, they loot and steal, which Az admittedly has fun with but it plays on her conscience. She won't steal from anyone other than the obviously rich though, and takes a lot of stick from the crew for it. Az struggles with guilt. She hates breaking the law and despite her love for her crew-sisters, she wants out of the thieving lifestyle.
Az has strict codes of honour within herself, which conflict. She feels like it is right for her to repay the Captain for her rescue, but she feels like it is wrong to steal. She is ultimately tied by her sense of loyalty to the Captain and her crew-sisters.
She was brought up in the desert, but the sea was a big part of her childhood. She is very familiar with tropical habitats, the ocean, and hot sand. She is a capable sailor and a strong swimmer. She can handle a shark, but a group of sharks would pose a lot of risk to her.
Az is part of the Daggerfall Covenant (ESO official lore). This is an alliance between three ESO races: the Redguards, the Bretons and the Orcs. There is traditionally a lot of hostility between Bretons and Redguards due to previous wars. Az has an unstable relationship with one of the Bretons on the crew. Az is the only Redguard on the crew. Her closest friends (on the crew and elsewhere), are Orcs.
She has recently been to the island of Betnikh. This is mainly inhabited by Orcs. While there, she befriended the daughter of the chief. She also fell in love with the island and the community there. She loves the clans and the way the Orcs live. She now desperately wants to visit the Orc city of Orsinium.
Az is learning how to use her magic although she struggles with reading. She tries to improve her reading whilst at sea, but her tutor is the Breton she doesn't get on with. The Captain rather slyly organised this tuition as a way to improve their relationship as she thinks they would actually get on really well.
