Charles Albert (1798 – 1849) was the King of Sardinia and ruler of the Savoyard state from 27 April 1831 until his abdication in 1849. His name is bound up with the first Italian constitution, the Statuto Albertino, and with the First Italian War of Independence (1848–1849).
BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ATTENDS MUSICARES PRE-GRAMMY GALA IN ALEXIS MABILLE & THOM BROWNE
Lady Gaga kept it hot when she showed up on the red carpet of the MusiCares Pre-Grammy Gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 24, 2014. The singer performed a beautiful acoustic version of Carole King’s ‘You’ve Got a Friend’.
Styling by Brandon Maxwell, hair by Frederic Aspiras and makeup by Tara Savelo.
Let’s start off with the two looks she wore to the rehearsal days first.
Here the singer sported the crystal-embellished deep teal velvet gown with draped bust from Gemy Maalouf’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection.
The next day she opted for a new hairstyle and a new outfit.
This crimson velvet V-neck robe dress with heavy shoulders and bat sleeves is a vintage Halston piece from the Spring/Summer 1978 collection. Above, you can see a similar white version that I found via Shrimpton Couture!
She accessorized with the golden Alchemia Shine cuff by Charles Albert...
...and pointy-toed gold patent pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti. There’s one more pair of shoes by the Italian designer but more about that later.
Now to the actual event. For the red carpet the songstress chose to wear look no. 20 from Alexis Mabille’s Spring/Summer 2014 Haute Couture collection.
The white fitted dress features a pleated bodice, 3/4 sleeves, draping detail on the back and slit mermaid skirt. It also has a bejeweled waist detail.
The outfit was styled with a pair of Thom Browne by DITA Eyewear side-shield steampunk sunglasses from Gogosha Optique...
...and Giuseppe Zanotti Ester pumps in silver & gold argento leather.
The songstress donned a black sleeveless gown with high-cut design and floor-length train by Lebanese fashion designer Abed Mahfouz. She paired it with Walter Steiger pumps and jewelry by Glynneth B. and Charles Albert.
At the MTV Video Music Awards 2010, which were held on September 12th at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Kesha made a striking and unconventional fashion statement that remains one of the most memorable red carpet appearances in recent VMAs history.
Kesha walked the white carpet wearing a dress constructed entirely from black plastic trash bags, designed by herself and brought to life by Marjan Malakpour and Lauren Bradly. Despite its raw and rugged origins, the garment was expertly tailored to complement her silhouette, merging sustainability with sartorial edge.
To complete the look, Kesha wore a pair of black patent leather platform heels by renowned Swiss footwear designer Walter Steiger, which added a level of high-fashion sophistication.
Her accessories included a Charles Albert sterling silver obsidian arrowhead adjustable ring and a turquoise sculptural ring, similar to the one pictured above.
Last but not least, Kesha wore a shimmering crystal-embellished clutch by Swarovski.
