Between December of 1957 and January 1958 starkweather, accompanied by fugate, killed 11 people, including Fugate's mother, stepfather and 2 year sister, in Nebraska and Wyoming where they were eventually caught. Starkweather was executed in 1959 while Fugate was jailed until 1976. She has always maintained her innocence and that she was forced to go with him.
