Sam: *throws himself down on the couch next to Stevie* So, we watching Die Hard or what?
Stevie: *rolls his eyes* Dude, that's a Christmas movie..\
Sam:*snorts* What a crock of shit- Die Hard is an ANYTIME movie. 'Sides, Cedes HATES it so while we've got the place to ourselves I'mma make hay while the sun shines. *scoops a handful of popcorn out of a huge bucket down by the side of the couch*
Stevie: Whatever...
Sam:* sighs in contentment as the movie starts* This is great...We haven't hung out in a while..
Stevie:*shrugs* I know..You're crazy busy and I'm..um..*clears throat*
Sam:*looks sideways at him* Aw shit, I'm going to just cut to the chase cos, well..it's me and I'm not really all that subtle..Cedes is worried about you.She thinks..I dunno..you're lonely...and she also thinks you might have found..uh.a guy. Not that there's anything wrong with that! Totally respect folks' life choices and all that...You know I wouldn't have a problem with anything you chose to do..unless you ate the world's supply of cheese doritos..I just..Shit, you're my baby brother Stevie and I want you to be happy.
Stevie: Sam, Cedes, uh..she..
Sam:*carries on earnestly* I feel..I dunno responsible for you even though your full grown and I want you to find someone that is truly deserving of you. Cause, when you find the one, really find the one, it's just..perfect.
Stevie: Sam. Sam! Stop..*sighs* There is something I wanted to tell you..I have found someone...it's complicated and we're trying to work things out. At first, I thought he was in love with someone else...someone..not gay. But the closer we've become, the more I think we could work. *takes a deep breath* It's-Oliv-* stops as a knock sounds at the door*
Sam:*distracted by the knock* Hold that thought, that's the pizza..*goes to the front door and opens it, smiling when he sees Oliver holding a pizza box* Hey dude!
Oliver: Saw the pizza guy, told him I'd bring it up for you guys..Is..uh..Stevie here?
Sam: Awesome, then you're just in time to hang out..*nods as he walks back inside, Oliver following* Yeah, he is..We're watching Die Hard. * drops his voice to a whisper* And I was trying to get the 411 on his new squeeze... Don't suppose you can tell me? You guys are close after all, you're like a big brother to him...
Oliver:*strangled voice* Stevie has a new boyfriend..?
Sam:D'uh, that's what I've just said..C'mon dude, let's grill him together...That's what big brothers are for.
