Running from his problems of course never fixed them, but Ezra was still very good at it. He had stayed away from the Chateau for as long as he could, which meant he ended up in most of the broken down areas of the city that were inhabitable. He’d stayed in worse. He hadn’t anticipated rain however, the downpour always did something to Ezra, sank into his bones and caused them to ache ever since he was bitten during a storm. He doesn’t expect to see anyone in this distraught district of town, but just a few feet ahead of him someone is illuminated by a crack of lightning.
