who: sam & @michaelndarling where: the lost boys' house
Lately, things tended to be a bit uncomfortable between Sam and Michael--more than he would've liked it to be. He had no one to blame but himself, and the fact that he'd found Colette on social media, for the tension between the two. In truth, Sam really just missed his friend, though it seemed like the youngest Darling had little interest in becoming as close as they'd once been. Sam understood, but, now that a year had passed since their relationship had changed, he hoped that maybe things could be different, for the better.
"You must be excited John's back," he said in greeting, clutching the red solo cup in his hand a bit tighter as he approached Michael. "Is he staying with your parents and Wendy, at home? Or, did he just find a place of his own?" It was simple small talk, but it was the most Sam could handle for now, until he saw just how comfortable the other boy was with him. "I haven't seen you around, uh, at school, lately, otherwise I would've said hi. So, I'm glad you came tonight."
