if anyone has been watching Euphoria on HBO, i’d like to talk about it for a second. it’s been so difficult for me to watch. it’s graphic and vulgar at some points. i lost a friend to her drug addiction and i see so much of her in Rue. when i saw this scene, after she’s forced to take the fentanyl and lying practically comatose on the couch, i just about lost it completely. this small dialogue broke my heart. i don’t know how else to explain it. she’s just so visibly altered, and Fez was so concerned about her being there while the deal went down for this exact reason. but when she says that she’s just so happy, it seems like he just deflates. he knows how hard she’s got it, he knows that she needs something and he knows that she won’t stop. he sounds so defeated and that’s just.. how it feels to love a drug addict. all you want is for them to happy; but for them, they won’t be happy until they’ve got their fix. i just cannot believe how real this feels. i feel like i’m losing a friend all over again, i just want to shake Rue and force her to get better. and i just can’t believe two small lines of dialogue pulled this much emotion out of me
