I took this picture, of Ruy, while we were standing on the piers at Gantry Plaza State Park. I could tell at this moment he was reflecting on the past, and thinking about the future. The river runs deep in this boy, I’ve known him since the 3rd grade, and I should know; as best friends we tell each other everything, and somethings don’t have to be said, it’s just a look, a fleeting glance, and I can tell he was both happy and sad. But no tears fell that day, of joy or sadness, for he, Chauncey, and I were at the park to play, arrested development style, it was like we were kids again.
