was your muse ever in denial about the matter? do you have any examples of specific instances where it was particularly obvious?
HUUUUUUU
Aidan definitely has denial problems but none of them were really related to his sexuality. He figured out fairly early he was bi and has had intimate encounters with people whose identities are kind of across the spectrum. His first kiss was with a boy; they were both very bad at it, please be nice to them they were teens. It’s a nice sharp contrast to his sister, who identifies as ace and has typically found it hard to be open about that among peers. Something Aidan sort of unwittingly contributed to because he was in to exploring as a young adult, and you know sometimes your sibling cannot relate to you on a topic. Anyway
Really his denial problems centered more on the types of relationships he could even have. Without delving too deep into backstory details, Aidan had it in his head a long-term relationship wasn’t a thing he was built for. Even if he might have wanted it, he didn’t articulate that because he was just kind of afraid to have it.
So he kept any intimate encounter usually short, mostly physical and cut off before real attachment was a thing for either party. An easy thing for him to do, since he has charm enough to come across as a likeable guy while still keeping people at arms’ length or a little further.
There were a variety of reasons both tied with his environment and his sense of self-worth, but he was very much told he’d make a good husband once and emphatically turned that comment down. Even when he was harboring a serious crush, there was a long period of time he either misidentified what the attachment was or just plain said nothing of it. To name a thing is to acknowledge it and frankly the concept to him was terrifying to even think about wanting. And then for a while it was scary because What If I Fuck Up.
Basically tl;dr Aidan was never in denial about his orientation but he was absolutely in denial about what he deserved to have in life as it relates to it.
when did your muse first realise they’re attracted to the gender(s) that they are? 💕
Silya has always liked women. It’s been a fact of her life.
For men though....the attraction started to come soon after she started her transition. I think it was the combination of her mother’s love and help in affirming her gender, as well as seeing some of guys around her in a new light. It helps when some of them start to flirt and she starts to flirt back .
I took some archival classes during my stint in graduate school which included the study of photography. The different types of photographs, the chemical properties, etc.
The main thing I have used this for in recent times aside from telling my mom which glue not to use with her photos has been to lorebend some ways to make some types of photographs a thing in FFXIV.
“Ah, bright-eyed child... Wisdom beyond your years, a gift of the Steppe, to produce those so familiar with what comes after. Do yourself a favor and do not grow arrogant with age, or I shall be so terribly, terribly disappointed in you. Now look what you’ve gone and done. You’ve made this old creature act all soft.”
For every 💭 I receive, I will write one thought my Muse has had about yours.
“One time I watched a frog try to crawl up her nose while she was sleeping. She didn’t wake up for the whole thing. I wonder if I should be concerned about that. There’s peaceful, and then there’s catatonic. I hope she’s okay.”
“The dew that drips forth from morning bloom petals. I don’t know what sort of demon you’ve got hiding in the bud, and as much as I don’t want to admit it, it’s not my right to know. I know she understands she bears the conviction to contest it, regardless of its end. Eat the path. So why doesn’t she? Is she waiting for someone to beat in the trail?”
