tyrathan dies to save vol'jins life, and then vol'jin flat out says "this one isn't yours" to the loa of death, practically threatening bwonsamdi, daring him to take what is his, because he's so desperate to save tyrathan he's willing to defy a loa. and when bwonsamdi gives in, he refers to tyrathan as vol’jins man

anyways basically what I'm saying is if blizzard doesn't make this canon they're cowards bc it practically already is

okay i know that vol’jins death is very depressing, its heartbreaking, it’s soul crushing, i hate it

but any time i watch the broken shore cinematic i break out LAUGHING because when sylvanas saves him, she picks him up with one hand and drapes him over her horse like it’s nothing

this nearly 9 foot tall troll who probably weighs like close to 400 pounds gets picked up like he’s a handbag and sylvanas is heading out the door it’s so fucking funny

i always wonder what, exactly, made varian rethink going with jaina's wish to "dismantle the horde". because it looks like he's fully ready to do that until he see's that vol'jin is now warchief. and I always wonder if he changes his mind because he respects vol'jin and trusts him to do good in that position or he sees that and is like "ah fuck he'd crush me like a bug nvm" or both lol

I headcanon Vol'jin travels a lot for Warchief work so it makes him have very little time to get back to Echo Isles, let alone sneak off to see Tyrathan. but Vol'jin thinks about him all the time while he's visiting places and always wishes he could take him with him so he can see them too. and I also hc that Vol'jin likes whittling in his spare time, to pass time and focus on his thoughts, and one day when he was whittling a little stick in Mulgore he carved a out an arrow shape because Tyrathan was on his mind. He brought it back to him as a gift and then it kind of became a habit that any time he was carved something he would gift it to Tyrathan, so now their home is littered with random little carved things, and Tyrathan has a necklace of carved wooden beads because that's what Vol'jin tends to carve the most of. All of them are different shades and colors because they're all different types of wood from different places Vol'jin visited. It's really sweet.
