sometimes i look back on my past writing before i really fully understood the skills and i like, think to myself "...rhetoric wouldn't say that" "this line should have not been a suggestion line?"

#chemi chats #past me had at least two misconceptions:#1) rhetoric is not “language” oriented. i had the idea of him being diction and vocabulary and eloquence. he is not that. he is Opinions #he is debate and argument and analysis of weakness within someone's words. he is confrontational and direct.#2) suggestion is not “suggest things.” by which i mean he's not here for any random suggestion for things for harry to do or whatever.#suggestion is crowd control. subtle manipulation. suave persuasion. he's sprinkling seeds of an idea and helping them take root.#now that i have a grasp on it i really gotta go back and edit any old pieces that have them written incorrectly and try to course correct #i know in the future i will continue to look back on my writing with new understanding of the skills and go “damn he would not say that”#this is why i have to get in back into Swept Up writing. i have to do better deep dives into skill characterization 🙂‍↕️#task: Swept Up #but not right now because i really need to sleep 😭

#aaughhh i love that guy. kisses his stupid forehead which is dumb because his forehead has a hole in it 😭#aauuuu my funny stupid knight who i love. i love him so much. i am going to cry about him.#i have soft thoughts about him and how he cares about you and wants you to live and how he helps you get up in the morning #and how he is to harry as harry is to Revachol: a small being inside a larger being trying to keep them alive.#especially if you set him as your signature skill it's so poetic. the larger being chooses you specifically and asks you to keep them alive #and how he holds himself responsible for this and upholds his duty and he will do it because he made a holy vow and he will keep it.#i also have character(?) thoughts about him as a guy who imposes restrictions on himself constantly despite his desires.#these thoughts consist of “holy shit what the fuck is wrong with him” which is said while actively grinning.#i love him lots he sucks so bad i love him so much im going to kiss his stupid head. WHY WON'T YOU LET YOURSELF HAVE NICE THINGS??#however strict he is on harry he is infinitely more strict on himself. he needs to be the perfect knight‚ the perfect skill.#free from wants‚ taking on responsibility. overworks himself constantly. maintains himself perfectly. he made a holy vow‚ he has to keep it #someone tell him he's not atlas holding the world. someone tell him he's not sisyphus and he can let the boulder lie for just a second more #tell him there is time for him to rest. to want and laugh and love. there is room for him to break and it's not wrong and he's not failing.#he won't listen to you obviously. he has to maintain perfection until he physically can't anymore. he made a holy vow and he can't just--#he has to do this. he is willpower and the strength to keep going and this is his job. he will hold the world and push the rock up the hill #and there are no breaks and there are no desires. there is only the clean resolve of a perfect knight who will do anything to protect you.#anyway ECHEM GET OVER HERE AND TEACH YOUR BOYFRIEND TO RELAX A LITTLE BIT???#chemi chats #task: unstoppable force
