Day 14, Exodus

I’ve made it to 14 days with head still covered in hair. Dreams of a hairy chemo experience shattered as I’m in yoga class, becoming a bit annoyed by stray hairs stuck on my skin. I am tempted to wipe them off, if only they won’t get stuck on my hand instead. Like fly paper.

The post practice shower offers no consolation as a six strand hair wad comes out in my hand. And then another. And then a clump of hair. I’m not ready. My beautiful knitted silk hat is not finished. And I will soon need to decide what to do with my head. Oh woe alopecia.
