#chemotip Hold tongue on roof of mouth during port flush if the taste gets to you. Also, eating a mint masks the saline taste.
A lot of people ask about my Cuppow, the plastic sippy top I use on a canning jar. I found mine (on the right) at New Seasons in Portland, but recently Whole Foods started carrying them here in Phoenix. Drinking from a canning jar uses less plastic so it's less wasteful, and helps me, at least, keep track of how much I drink. Staying hydrated during and between treatments is key to keeping side effects down and energy up. The Cuppow on the left is made for a straw, perfect for traveling with a smoothie.
