“Are you alright? Can I help you?” The King stated towards the other who had approached.

“ Wow you’re so cute!” She is tempted to pick up the feline, but noticing the collar she hesitates to think. “Are you looking for your owner maybe. Is your owner near by?” Oh what was she saying the cat probably wouldn’t understand. Noticing a person near by she decided to ask them for help. “Excuse me, do you live around here?”

“Mrrow~?” Lulu almost seemed to smile at the compliment the woman gave him, already nonchalantly rubbing against her legs as thanks for paying him attention. Though once he heard the ‘owner’ sound, his head was darting back and forth to find his younger human. No sight of him, and the big amount of humans made it hard to pick up his scent. So he opted to simply wait beside her to see if younger human would come for him or if he had to walk home by himself. 

“Lulu! If you keep running off, we won’t make it to the market in time!” Ludger hoisted his cat into his arms, although he struggled for a moment to balance Lulu properly. Lulu himself didn’t struggle at all; he was used to it and even tried to initiate being picked up despite his weight. “Sorry if Lulu disturbed you, ma’am. He refuses to walk on a leash so I can’t really stop him if he decides to do his own thing.” 

After his apology, the woman asked if he knew the area. An odd question to start with-- was she new to Trigleph maybe? Well she came to the right person if so; this place was home for pretty much his entire life. “Yeah, I live in one of the apartment complexes near the Highroad. Did you need some help finding your way in town?”

“ I’ve noticed how hard you’ve been working lately and hope you’ll take a break for a little.” She held out a box with onigiri. “I thought you might be hungry so I made these.” It was that or grilled chicken bowl.

“You made these for me?”

There is a brief moment of pause, a few seconds in which the surprise slowly filters through him. To most it might seem like a simple gesture, yet to Richard it meant the world. It also, he realized, meant he’d gotten caught overworking himself once again and with Cheria’s cooking in front of him, his stomach was quite happy to remind him how long it had been since his last break. 

“Thank you, Cheria.” A smile crosses his face and he can feel the weight of his responsibilities lessen their hold on the back of his mind. Richard didn’t quite know what he would do if he hadn’t such cherished friends who kept an eye on him. He’d certainly have gone without a meal. 

“Won’t you sit down and share it with me? I think perhaps I am due for a bit of a break. I would love to hear how things are faring with you, it’s been far too long since your last visit.”

“You might as well come out, whoever you are. Your game of hide and seek is quite pointless.” She said, pausing her stroll through the kingdom for the current time being.

It had been a year since Elle had last seen Ludger. It happened during the Nova monster attacks on Barona. Ludger, seeing the destruction the creatures wrought on the city, pushed Elle into a safe hiding space, grabbed his twin swords, and that was the last time the girl saw him. She remembered staring at his back as he ran from their home, silhouetted by the fire and mayhem that lay beyond. If Elle had one regret, it was that she didn’t follow him.

After the chaos died down, Elle wandered the streets of Barona looking for any sign of Ludger, wiping her tears on the back of her hands as despair grabbed hold of her. She wasn’t sure how long she wandered those streets. The background din of pain, wails, and fear faded with the sun. At some point she was discovered by Kerri Lhant, up from her manor to provide aid and support. Kerri took in Elle, and that was where the girl had spent the last year.

Still, Elle never gave up on finding Ludger. She was sure the man was just stuck somewhere, unable to return home. And so, with tonight’s full moon, Elle tightened the straps on her small yellow backpack and tiptoed outside. If Ludger couldn’t come to her, then Elle was determined to come to him.

Elle crept through the quiet town to the road that led to Barona. She would start her search there. Elle froze at the sound of a woman clearing her voice. Slowly, Elle turned to face the pink-haired woman standing in the shadow of a tree.

I’m waiting for the new Tomb Raider movie... So I can see how terrible ratings it gets. The casting is horrible and cruel to Lara Croft. There was so many better choices that actually looked her. I mean, it was going to suck anyway. All video games turned into films are trash. Same with animes. But at least when ScarJo was cast in terrible Ghost in the Shell. SHE LOOKED LIKE MAJOR. With a good script, she’d be good for the role. With a good script, Angelina Jolie would be a good Lara! But now we have to deal with a film based on a great 2013 to game and it’s going to ruin the game. Since Lara isn’t short and this woman is and everything about her body is wrong. Casting is so bad these days. I don’t hate her, she’s a good actress, but she ain’t Lara. She’s going to ruin Tomb Raider like her husband ruined Assassin’s Creed. Remember that awful 18% percent movie from the end of 2016. Assassin’s Creed games and Ubisoft wants to forget.
