I know I have a blog for this, but I can not seem to remember the password to get into it. So, seeing how I spend most of my time on this URL anyway, I wanted to share this here.

Tuesday afternoon, while hanging out for lunch with my best friend we were in a car accident on the way back to her house. We both are fine, and survived any extensive injuries, however I am still in the hospital, and have lost my spleen and one kidney, along with several broken ribs, a compound fracture in my right leg and a knee replacement. My friend suffered a broken arm and collarbone.

You may say, “That certainly sounds extensive to me” it may to you, but in 2013, I was in a car accident where I almost did not survive, so I got this one! Unfortunately, the driver of the other car, who ran a red light at a high rate of speed was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. His family needs your prayers and thoughts. His young fiancé is grieving and needs support. So think of them today and send them good vibes.

This past 14 months has thrown a shitload of things at me. A stint in the ICU due to Covid, mental issues surrounding that, the death of my father and now this. Life is not promised to be easy, and it is also not promised for very long so I know these things are going to happen. And if I am blessed to live a long life, as my father did, I again, will face more of these things. 

Is it easy? Oh Hell no! Is it worth it? Sometimes I second guess that, but HELL YES, it is worth it! Regardless of what life throws at me, it is just that,  life!  I cherish my life. I cherish my time here. I cherish those that are in my life. Do I always like it? NO! Especially during situations as I am in now (stuck in a hospital; in a cast, with pins and rods and titanium in my right leg, and with one less kidney) But, you know what? I am alive! 

So, lift up that family that lost a son, brother, uncle, and fiancé and all the other things that he meant to so many. 

SO~ Tell those that you love and know today, just how you feel about them and how much they mean to you. I could cry and feel sorry for myself today, but I have a smile on my face. Why? Because I am alive.
