Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 cup milk. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1 egg. 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and chopped. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cold.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and line a muffin tin with paper liners. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and egg. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped cherries. Divide the muffin batter evenly among the muffin cups. In a small bowl, prepare the crumb topping by mixing brown sugar, flour, and cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the muffins. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
