So manhattans have always been my drink. it comes from when I was a bartender long ago in the late 80s and was making them by the dozen. And dad liked them quite a lot, though it wasn’t his absolute favorite drink, the Rob Roy. but you couldn’t mess with them, like I do with certain drinks. He always had to have his cherry. I like to garnish it with an orange peel. Going to honor this amazing guy on Saturday night, starting at 4 PM. An Irish wake for my less than Irish father.
