Hi!! I love your translations and explanations, they're absolutely amazing!

Now, into my question. I don't know if someone else has already asked this, but I was curious- if in the Korean version White Lily's and Pure Vanilla's relationship isn't romantic-coded like in the English version... How is the viridescent daydreams costume handled in the Korean version? Is it still a love potion story or did they tone up the romantic implications on the English version like with everything else?

Oh wow. They watered down AND changed so much to make it less obvious that this isn't even remotely a romantic story. As always. :/ (I will put the translated story in a different post later.)

Midsummer Night's Tragicomedy in Kr is; A Midsummer Night's Saddest Comedy.

And they actually have titles in the Kr story like Grass Fairy King (his subjects the grass faires) and Lily Fairy Queen.

In Kr, the grass fairies were talking about rumors of the Fairy Queen who grants wishes. The fairies made their king listen to this as he was intoxicated by the love potion because they thought it would be funny if their king would fall on live to something that's merely a rumor. That was the comedy part, but the tragedy is that the queen was actually real, who has no choice but to appear in people's dreams and was only there to give him momentary happiness. But then he wakes up STILL dreaming of a love that's completely fake.

Korean skin tiles are: The Grassy Crown of Midday Dreams and The Fairy of the Middnight Lily.

Midday and Midnight, the times of a day that are exact opposites of each other. And he's named "Midday Dreams" means he stuck in that dream even if he's wide awake. Pyuba is the joke and the tragedy cursed to forever be blinded with a love that doesn't even exist towards a person who only wanted to help him to fulfill a wish in that moment.

Also, the reason why Seril was crying was because she is still mourning the death of the Fairy King Cookie. She still the Fairy Queen Seril from the canon timeline, while Fairy King Pyuba is living in delusion forever.

The story in a nutshell: Haha, we're gonna prank the Grass Fairy King with this love potion! What- THE QUEEN WAS REAL?! And the postion is permanent??? Well uhhh, shiiiit. 😬

wait, did i misunderstand? i thought sage of truth was what shamil used to be like before he went beast mode, and the costume story was about an alternate universe where he remained normal while pyuba got corrupted from seeking out the truth and turned into the hermit

What happens when Narrative Foil Guy who ships 2 characters through heavy narrative symbolism with little to no interaction (Aka dirkjohn shipper) find parallels for another Narrative Foil ship with 2 characters who has EVERYTHING. (I see it all.)

Shamil is a really good visual story teller as much as giving a recall/foreshadow with the Ancients' paper puppets. (He expresses through art! ;3)

Puppet Holbe's face is sad, which is the only puppet that has changed expression from :D to :C, as she is facing her sheild that she left on the stairs. Perhaps it's too heavy to carry.

Paper Seril looking at the vandalized painting and finding out about the truth of the founder of the academy. She's looking for the truth, but she is covered by the blue ahh title logo. Seril being on the other side of the screen covered by the title because she is free but lonely, and she is also made too look irrelevant as if she doesn't exist.

Made a body language analysis on this one sprite now that it's been confirmed that he canonicaly has a frail body. (He has always have been skinny to me hehe.)

Soo how do you feel about light of decit (and shamil(oh god they jumped him))

What makes it worse is that a concience their Soul Jam is the very reflection of their own self and deepest desires, there to remind them of why they hold, earn and the purpose their power. In other words, he was jumping himself.

In this part, the Soul Jam gave him a truthful answer, not to help him, but mock him of ever having a desire to be understood. Pioneer seeing it the first time, belived it, but seeing was the Soul Jam tricks and not a dream, thought he was "fooled."

And that there is irony. When Pyuba successfully merged with Shamil's Soul Jam, Light of Deceit "opened the curtain for a moment" (wherein peeking through it makes a "crevice"). That itself subconsciously wanting to be understood all the while harboring immense self-hatred. This is his painful truth he can never accept nor something he'd give himself.

And I made a meme out of it. :3

He called Light of Deceit bastard in Korean.

"This bastard...!!!" Lol. But also it's just a lesser version of "son of a bitch".

Now that I think of the Beasts' minions(which I do ALL THE TIME);

Mystic Flour Cookie's most loyal follower and pagoda protector is Could Haetae Cookie. Could Haetae is a guardian lion, but is called lion dogs in English speaking nations. Dogs are usually adopted by people who are depressed because all dogs do is stay in one place (and that's literally their job) and love you forever regardless of who you are.

Burning Spice Cookie's most loyal subject is Nutmeg Tiger Cookie. A tiger is a cat. Cats are usually adopted by people who are physically a brick wall, but then they reveal to actually be VERY nice gentle giant for said pet cat. She shows her idolization for Burning Spice by putting her own red nutmeg on her chest to immitate Burning Spice with his Soul Jam.

Shadow Milk Cookie has two minions, which breaks the pattern of the previous Beasts having only one loyal minion who follows them, and those are Black Sapphire Cookie and Candy Apple Cookie. Black Sapphire is a kind of grape, and the phrase "through the grape vine" is an idiom for gossip or rumors. (And since Black Sapphire idolizes Smilk as his superior, he has a grape crystal with an eye on his collar and a microphone with an eye, like Smilk's Soul Jam and staff. ) An apple represented as knowledge and temptation in the Bible, tempted by a serpent. (And since Candy Apple also adores Smilk so much, her skirt looks so much like that of his collar.) They have this sibling relationship. That also means BS used to be alone in serving Smilk. Until one random day, Smilk just gave him an apple that would soon be Candy Apple Cookie, who he would then bother when ever Smilk is away so she wouldn't be lonely, as it also does the same for Black Sapphire Cookie.
