I got tagged by @pearycider to list my seven comfort movies and tag 7 other people! I’m absolutely here to share phenomenal films so here they are in order of how many times I’ve seen them from least to most

7. Wolfwalkers

The final installment to Caroon Saloon’s Irish Folklore Trilogy (preceded by The Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea). Everything about the animation is breathtaking and mesmerizing and although it’s a film that’s easy to enjoy and just appreciate for the animation aspect alone, I adore everything that’s under the surface

6. Whisper of the Heart

All of Miyazaki’s “atmosphere” films are always a treat and this one’s my fav. Although the romance aspect is very whimsical - I appreciate how the film is honest about how harrowing it can be to have confidence in yourself while pursuing your creative interests

5. Hot Fuzz

Cops are a joke but this movie isn’t

4. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse

If you haven’t taken the time to watch this just do it you actually won’t regret it whether or not you like Spider-Man and whether or not you like animation just please I promise i swEAR

3. The Intouchables

A French film based on a true story about the budding and unlikely friendship between a quadriplegic (who happens to be enormously wealthy) and someone who has full range of physical capability (and very not enormously wealthy). It’s a love story about platonic love and it warms my heart

2. Cloud Atlas

“The reincarnation of a soul travels through time in an exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.” - IMDb page for Cloud Atlas.

(side note although it has Tom Hanks & Halle Berry & Hugo Weaving it def has a problematic part that would’ve/could’ve been easily resolved by hiring Asian actors - if someone passes bc of that I get it & is extremely valid)

Nothing about this film makes sense if the scenario was actually applied in real life but you know what it’s got great animation every single second and I love looking at it every time so sue me for seeing it in theaters six times

Elezen Zenos ramble

NOTE: Thoughts are scattered and not organized, even if they appear to be. Also REALLY long.

I mentioned earlier about Elezen Zenos maybe popping up in the next Patch (4.4) and being all worried if he has any resemblance to our dearly departed “Silver Fuller” - aside from my heart breaking all over again, I got to thinking IF ElezenZenos decides to pop up; How would he go about it?

The first time we saw ElezenZenos - that as we as PLAYERS saw him - to which this is a big thing. We the players know that Zenos is in another body, nobody else does. All everyone else knows is that “Zenos is back and it’s likely an Ascian behind the flesh suit.” However, none of the cast of characters have thought that “Original Zenos” is in a different body. Hold that thought in mind whilst we continue on with this.

So as I was saying, the first time ElezenZenos makes himself known is right after WoL and company have opened Zenos’s tomb to find that he is missing. He is far off, overlooking the whole scene and smiles before he leaves. Soon after we see him apparently fixing some Magitech and proceeds to kill another Resistance soldier when he is questioned as to what he is doing. After that we get his theme bgm and he mentions “the Hunt”, then proceeds to fly to gods know where.

Well firstly, he killed a Resistance member. Word will get out about that, more so that he was killed at a former Garlean base - to which looks like it is in Castrum Abania! (Keep that in mind for a moment) These news will go directly to Lyse and if I had to guess the WoL will be put to investigate. Zenos has to ditch the uniform somewhere at to not draw suspicion. Alright, so WoL goes to the base to investigate. Perhaps we see numerous Magitech and perhaps some beasts that have wondered in since its been abandoned all cut up. Someone will likely be with our WoL - someone who might comment that “Hey, they all appear to be cut up by some blade.” Maybe they’ll make mention that “A Far Eastern blade would produce such cuts.” (IDK bare with me) Alright so we get to where the Resistance solider was killed and - CUE ECHO FLASHBACK!

WoL sees that it was another fellow Resistance member whom dealt the death blow. Perhaps a Garlean spy all along? Our heroes can’t sit still for this to come true or not and thus have to hunt down this soldier. Well this soldier has to obviously hide their tracks - they have to change clothes, where is the closest places to Castrum Abania again?

Ah yes, there’s a small village close by (I can’t remember the name of the place, but Raubahn is from there originally)  and Ala Ghiri! Zenos took a Magitech vehicle, he fixed it sure, but perhaps not well enough? Listen, I’m sure he has plenty of knowledge of magitech, but I’m more sure he studied the blade more - moving on! So perhaps the vehicle only got so far, I’m thinking perhaps he was planning on leaving The Peaks but stopped before he could get to the Fringes, it still got him close though, thus having him be in Ala Ghiri. At this point and time I would believe Lyse would keep word of a Resistance members murder under wraps as to not either panic people, or have potential war prisoners executed ahead of time. So ElezenZenos just waltzing in still in uniform wouldn’t raise any suspicion.

Thus our WoL and company know of the two potential spots where this mysterious Elezen could have gone. They split up, one group goes to Coldhearth (I remembered what it was called!) and the other goes to Ala Ghiri - our WoL would go to Ala Ghiri, or who knows maybe they all go to one spot and then the next? Irregardless on what goes down, once we’re at Ala Ghiri they could split up and ask around. Thus our WoL and Zenos meet - again. A whole slew of things can happen at this point!

Imagine this: The screen fades to black to start a cutscene, we see our companions asking around for this soldier, we see our WoL asking as well. From a distance we see a door open, we don’t see the individual who walks out, only their boots and a sword at their hip. We get a POV of this individual, they take notice of some people asking around but only one person draws their eye - our WoL. Perhaps the camera then pans out and we see a familiar smile and pair of blue eyes.

I don’t think Zenos will immediately go up and confront us, perhaps our WoL will notice him and even go up, smile and ask him if he’s seen anyone matching our mystery soldier. If this happens - I will lose my shit! Can you imagine what Zenos must be thinking if this occurs!? “My most hated enemy, my first friend, is actually talking to me and they don’t even know it.”

He’d laugh it up internally and even more so if he somehow joins our party! Zenos knows nobody else knows he has a new body, he can run a charade for as long as possible - if the Echo doesn’t somehow call him out on it, to which I’m really surprised that during Stormblood as a whole we haven’t really used our Echo, or rather the Echo just does not activate/used as much as in the previous expansions. That’s besides the point however, Zenos at this point and time doesn’t care about getting his body back, he only cares about “the Hunt”, about the WoL. He says so himself that with this new life he has he can right the wrongs of his past, make amends, but he refuses for he only cares about what he started.
