Ich muss den EstherxJay-Lou tag mal etwas füttern:
Some Zhongli fanart from january 2022 (for the contest) I can finally post this now!
unedited version:
ladyvyola mentioned you on a post “Sam & Sci, I just feel like this monstrosity belongs in the...”
@copperbadge Sam, Sam, it's a feetloaf!
AHAHAHAAH OH THE HORROR
chibiesque replied to your photo “junker5: Sam & Sci, I just feel like this monstrosity belongs in the...”
You actually eat it raw with the onions :D
In a way this is a deep relief, because just imagining what it would look like cooked...I mean I don’t care for raw meat or raw onions, but at least it doesn’t get worse.
dreamwaffles replied to your photo “Sometimes a family can be a man, two cats, and five stringed...”
my dad repairs guitars as a hobby, so if you have questions about maintenance hmu I have learned WAY MORE than I ever needed to XD (also get yourself new strings)
Oh thanks! I suppose I should restring it. People seem very intimidated by stringing ukuleles but those are just nylon strings, I’m much more worried about steel...
sarriane replied to your photo “Sometimes a family can be a man, two cats, and five stringed...”
They're so beautiful! What size is the banjolele? Soprano or concert?
Soprano -- they’re all soprano except for Big Blue, which was so poorly made (I got it for $5 at a garage sale) that it has a concert body and a soprano fretboard. Plays perfectly fine with soprano tuning, though, and honestly it stays in tune better than either the banjolele or the Kala.

Wow, that's a big ukulele
DOUBLE BASS :D
chibiesque replied to your post “So for folks who have watched Endgame, is it worth the wait? Or is it...”
I agree with alexarain, it totally depends what you want. It has some really good scenes and moments but... lets just say the last 10 minutes are, hmm. I wish they wouldn't exist because they can absolutely ruin the movie :(
Oooh. Oooof.
Okay. Good to know.
I’m going to keep my expectations middling for this movie, then. I AM invested in these characters. Invested enough to want to watch the movie so I know what happens.
For the writing meme. I can’t decide between 22 and 26 with Steve/Tony. So it’s your choice which one :)
So I went with the second option - strangers on a park bench!
To behonest, Tony had come here to have a bit of peace and quiet, even ifonly for a few moments. He'd been in meetings with a parade of“important” people all day, so admittedly, he was not at hisbest. In fact, he was idly contemplating the destruction of mankindas he was reading the trashy sci-fi novel he had randomly bought onthe way to the park.
So whensomeone sat down on the same bench as him, he ignored them. None ofhis business, he was busy with his book. That rapidly changed, however, whenthe stranger actually talked to him.
“It'sbeautiful this time of the year here, isn't it,” the stranger said, and Tony looked up from his book with an angry glare, unable to hidehis irritation at being interrupted. He distantly noted that theintruder was a young, fairly attractive man and not in fact anoctogenarian, but that didn't actually help his case. He was anintruder, and therefore needed to be eliminated.
“Sorry,”the stranger quickly apologised as he noticed Tony's angry glare.“It's just- no, never mind. I interrupted your reading, I'm sorry.”
“No, byall means,” Tony replied sarcastically. “Carry on.”
The strangersent him a look, but then he chuckled quietly.
“I guess Ideserved that,” he said lightly. “Bucky always says that I get tooemotional when I want to draw something. This view is just perfect,but-”
He liftedhis hand, which was in a cast.
Now Tonyfelt slightly bad. Just another person who was frustratedbecause they didn't get to do what they actually wanted to do.Tony could definitely relate.
“So you'rean artist?” he asked.
The strangerlaughed.
“More likeaspiring artist,” he said. “It's not so easy to succeed.”
“Well,”Tony mused, thinking about all the stupid people today who did theirbest at stopping him and the plans he had for his company at everyturn, not caring about all the potential good it could do to theworld. “It doesn't really matter if you are very successful or not;if you create art, you're an artist, aren't you? Not that gettingsome money out of it wouldn't be very nice.”
He grinnedat the stranger a little, the book in his lap now definitely abandoned and forgotten. (It hadn’t been that good, anyway. Impulse buys tended to lead to a world of regrets.)
“Yeah, thestarving artist trope is a little...” the stranger said, shruggingself-depreciatingly.
“No onelikes to starve,” Tony said, “especially not for your work. Butthat reminds me – I could use a hot dog. How about it? To preventyou from starving.”
“I-”
“It's ahot dog, not a filet mignon,” Tony reminded him. “You're allowedto say yes. You can even eat it one-handed.”
The strangersighed, but then he smiled. “Thank you,” he said. “I shouldprobably try that more often, annoying people into feeding me.”
“A smartbusiness model you have there,” Tony said as he got up to walk tothe next food cart.
“My nameis Steve, by the way,” the stranger said as he jumped up to follow him. “Imean... you're buying me food. I- uh, I mean...”
“I'mTony,” Tony interrupted his stuttering. “Although names are notnecessary for food-related shenanigans. Unless it's the name of thefood.”
Stevelaughed, and they walked on, and as they did, Tony realised twothings. First, the view in the park was quite lovely at this timein the year. Second, the destruction of mankind could probably waitfor a bit. Just until they had gotten some hot dogs. Probably.
Art Fight 2025 is over! I think I was more satisfied with the consistency in quality of my drawings when I last participated (2023)... but I worked hard to be just as active as I'd been then, despite having to be afk for most of the month ╰( ̄ω ̄o)
Here are my last two attacks:
1. Aoyama (@esmeebeek)
2. [A very quick chibi of] N/A (FryNorman)
I knew I'd have to chibify this cool character to draw her in time but I didn't realise how little time I had left ashajaka
