#Repost @vintagetribune with @repostapp ・・・ Dorothy Eagles gives a dog a ride in a baby carriage at 4506 N. Broadway in Chicago in the summer of 1941. The Tribune reported this account of how the dog got in the carriage: "The plight of one dog, a black collie, was reported to Mrs. Dorothy Eagles, founder of the shelter, and she spent four days trying to catch him, finally accomplishing it by borrowing a baby buggy and wheeling it through Lincoln Park because she saw that the bewildered animal tried several times to attach himself to nursemaids wheeling baby carriages." Eagles was the founder of the North Side Animal Shelter.
