Amazing dinner tonight at Aboyer in Winnetka. The room was buzzing with happy diners. Tonight's special, delicately dusted battered walleyed pike, shrimp and vegetable medley. Perfect! The house made tartar and cole slaw were the best I've had. Our decadent starters, escargot served with goat Ricotta, black garlic, micro basil and beurre monte; roasted beets with walnut Romesco sauce, shaved fennel, and a house favorite reminiscent of the former Restaurant Michael, the gougeres, we couldn't resist. Lee had the try the Aboyer Burger, griddle smashed burger, Wagyu beef short rib, beef chuck, and Kobe-a-5 trimmings, seared pork belly, Lacy fried egg, on a Brioche bun. Oh yah. Simply amazing. Yes, we had to sample the dessert, Olive Oil Cake with coffee banana panna cotta and spiced chocolate glacage. I kid you not, omg! It is understandable why Chef Michael Lachowicz is among this country's best and the restaurants are certainly worthy of their high praise and national recognition. Aboyer is a winner in all respects, great service, food and surprisingly reasonable pricing. #aboyer #georgetrois #chicagofoodies #chicagrammers #kurmanpr #chefmichaellachowicz #winnetka #chicagonorthshore #michelinguide #infatuationchi #timeoutchicago #chicagomag #chicagoreader #chicagosbest (at AboyerSilencieux) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9ItSqblVTg/?igshid=wjqwy0e0jscy
