Is it hard to take care of them?

Not necessarily, if you have the right resources for them to have good living conditions and check on them. Cleaning is sometimes a hassle, but as long as you have gloves and something to reduce disease and infection(for you and the chickens), you’ll be fine

Chickens do get easily stressed and startled though. Like if they hear a dog bark or some loud noise that startled them, they can actually die. Heat also gets them easily

But once you read up on how to care for them, a lot of it comes with experience

Max: Okay, Suzie, Prue says that you're too dumb to plan murder but I know better. I've seen you watching me and I'm here to end this one way or another.

*Suzie stares blankly at Max*

M: No, don't give me that look, this ends today.

*Suzie continues her blank stare*

M: Stop it.

Prudence: Max? Why have you cornered one of the chickens? Oh for fucks sake - leave Suzie alone, why is this a conversation we keep having?

M: I'm trying to end this!

P: You're trying to terrorize innocent poultry, you idiot. Leave her alone.

Max grumbles, walking away with Prudence. He glances back over his shoulder at the chicken just to see her eyes narrow. Innocent. Right.

Max: That chicken is staring at me again.

Prudence: What are you talking about? What chicken?

M: *points to his mortal enemy* That chicken. The one with murder in its eyes.

P: Suzie?

M: You named the chicken that wants me dead?

P: She's the oldest in the flock, of course she has a name. And she doesn't have murder in her eyes, chickens aren't smart enough for that.

*exit Prue, leaving Max and Suzie to stare each other down*

There's murderous intent there. Max knows it.

My Christmas present to Max:

Cut to: Max "discreetly" setting fire to the chicken umbrella

When asked why he did it he will plead the fifth and admit to no fault, claiming that the umbrella somehow disappeared and maybe the chickens took it

Max will later admit to Prudence that he burned it out of fear that it would call more chickens to him and somehow make him their leader
