Mycelium does what it wants Sterile, not sterile Supplemented or not Look what it did here. Been cleaning, we got a power washer. Like, where have I been this whole time. Life changing. We found this jar of Chicken mushroom aka Laetiporus sulphureus fruiting on the side out of the bottom of the lid. Yes, a long forgotten jar of plug spawn. Dusty, with aged polyfil, this jar of spawn might be legit four years old. So basically we figured out how to fruit Chicken mushrooms. Leave a neglected, unsupplemented jar of plug spawn in a tote, incubated and aged to perfection for four years and then you’ll get a fruit. Super easy and economical.
