I don’t really understand the “clout chasing” angle that so many Chillcourse members are pushing on us. First of all, you can just dislike what people are doing and feel the need to point it out without wanting anything. It’s possible to try and do something to help others without personal gain. Just because you might only care about people when it helps you doesn’t mean everyone else is like that.

Plus, if any of us really wanted clout, we could just go to the almost 150 followers on our main, or nearly 200 followers on one of our side blogs, or over 300 on another, or nearly 100 followers on one of our discourse blog, or over 100 on one of our incorrect quotes blog.

Incase you didn’t get the point, we don’t need clout and we don’t want clout. And even if we were, for some reason, clout starved, this isn’t how we would get it. The majority of the people who know that the server or server members exist are pro-Dirk and pro-Chillcourse. The only thing that we could get in mass from doing this is hate asks and anons.

And I know that some of you might say that we’re expecting attention or acceptance from tucutes, but I doubt that’s gonna happen. You know why? Because we’re transmeds. Every mod at this blog is a transmed and that’s part of why it pisses us off so much that the main server and one of the most well known Tumblr transmeds are not a good place or a good person.

We’re getting nothing out of this but possibly helping keep others from going into the same toxic environment that some of us were in with that server. There is nothing else that we want or could possibly gain from doing this.

Stop pushing off legitimate criticism with accusing us of clout chasing. Because even if we were, we’re still making good points. We still have proof that the server is not a good place and a number of members and/or mods aren’t great people. That’s not cancelled out by make believe clout chasing, despite what some of you think.

Come up with real arguments if you’re genuinely the good guys or just admit that you can’t defend yourselves against any of this.

I seriously don’t understand how none of you understand that attacking anyone who disagrees with or criticizes you with disgusting amounts of vitriol proves that you’re breeding and/or part of an extremely toxic environment.

Rather than listening to what people have a problem with or even trying to understand their point of view, so many of you jump at everyone who even somewhat offends you and treat them terribly, despite all of you being very openly against people who do the same thing.

And none of you understand the irony of being very vocally against people making fun or attaching others for having different stances or criticizing them, yet you do the same thing.

So many of you have such a problem with blogs like this one for bringing up criticisms and making people feel unsafe, while doing the same thing, just in private.It’s genuinely starting to seem that you only care about these things when they hurt you, are in public, or come from people you dislike/disagree with generally.

This is legitimately pure hypocrisy and essentially none of you seem to realize this.

If you’re ready to say things so aggressively in private, why do you flip out when it’s made public? Is it because you’ve fought so hard to build up ‘uwu im baby’ and/or ‘easy to approach, nice dude’ personas and who you are and how you treat people in private ruins that?

Because the appeal of so many of your blogs is that you’re just laid back, easy going, good people who are easy to talk to. So it coming to light that you actually treat people poorly, mock people for things they do or their perception of things because of their mental illnesses/neurodivergence, make fun of people in general, make fun of art because you don’t like the art style, etc. would ruin that.

It’s especially ironic how pissed you are at people bringing up egregious things you’ve done in an attempt to keep people from entering a toxic environment, while also having a field day with an insult thrown in a private server and using that to peg someone as a bad guy.

You’re not only two-faced, but you’re hypocrites and somebody needed to bring that to life. It honestly doesn’t matter to anyone if it hurts your feelings a bit, because you’re treating people terribly and attack them more so when they do what you say to fix issues.

This post is probably gonna be worded oddly because it’s getting late and it’s also just something that’s kind of hard to get out right. Might rewrite it in the morning, who knows.

Do none of you realize how hypocritical a number of the server’s members and Dirk’s supporters (maybe Dirk himself) are?

Apparently they can call someone abelist for saying that they didn’t personally like the way the server channels are arranged. Their reasoning is because Dirk has OCD and that’s why he arranged the server the way that he did.

A number of these people apparently even got somewhat aggressive (considering what happened) over the issue. Which, in it’s own way, it sort of abelist. Let me explain:

The way that the channels are organized may trigger other people’s OCD or anxiety. Essentially telling them that they’re bad people for having a problem with that, likely because of their own mental illness, is telling them that they’re bad people because of the symptoms of their mental illness, which is far more abelist than pointing out something that was triggering them.

People were also being called abelist for not knowing that Dirk has OCD. Even though memory loss can be a symptom of mental illness and/or neurodivergence. And it’s not just those two, there are other reasons that these people magically cease to overlook or ignore. Don’t believe me? Here’s a list:

Depression

Anxiety

DID

ADHD

Head injuries

TBIs (similar, but I felt the need to point out that it doesn’t have to be a TBI or a major one)

TIA

Partial Seizures

PTSD (emotional trauma more specifically)

I’m fairly certain this isn’t even all of them. All of these give reasons that people might not remember that he has OCD. And somebody doesn’t even have to have one of those. They could just have a bad memory, short term memory loss, or, because of the amount of time since it seems he last brought it up, they simply forgot.

These same people then went to flip out because of someone forgetting that Dirk has OCD, could be doing this (something far worse than simply not remembering something that doesn’t impact their life much) to someone because of a symptom of their mental illness.

Apparently ableism is only a problem when it’s something that effects them, whether or not it’s legitimate ableism, but it doesn’t exist when it’s something they’ve done to other people, even if it’s real ableism. (Yes, I do consider not listening to neurodivergent people about what is and isn’t offensive towards them ableism- at least more so than just forgetting that someone has OCD)
