So these days I am spending some solid time (3 months) with my parents in Peru. Eight years ago they bought a little plot of land in a rural village called Quilmana, 2 hours south of Lima. Since then, my dad has slowly been building his retirement house and a set of apartments for my brother n me, so we visit them more. Earlier this year they finally moved in to this house, and though there is still a lot of work to get it into optimal shape, it is already a super cozy place to live in! My parents spoil us with delicious meals every day and we’re already having lots of quality family time, which is something I haven’t had too much in many years. The town is as country as it gets, pretty much just farms as far as you can see, with donkey carts slowly cruising around, fresh air, friendly people and lots of sun. My parents’ own farm area is also taking shape with around 300 fruit trees, mostly avocados. Even though a lot of “Muyawasi” (orchard-home) is still looking pretty rough (including my studio under construction), I am SO stoked and grateful for this dream coming into fruition! This winter (summer down here actually) will be mellow but blessed, focussing on painting, family, nature and cultivating Love. This is the beginning of something real good! Please tune in to my IGtv video tomorrow if you’d like me to give you a better tour of the place and how it’s shaping up!! #muyawasi #villajosephina #quilmana #peru #countryside #rural #village #farm #orchard #avocados #dreamscometrue #family #familytime #stoked #grateful #chillwinter #fruit #mural #art #positivecreations (at Quilmaná, Lima, Peru) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6VllG6nBzi/?igshid=1s4ghiff6hfa7
