Do you think it’s anti-religion for pagans who worship the Greek deities to shame me for being a pagan who worships Chinese deities? I don’t know if it could be considered anti-religion since they’re also religious ^^; but it does make me feel bad :(
This is anti religion and probably racism too.
It is absolutely anti religion. Hellenism is the most popular branch of polytheism but that doesn't mean that other branches can't be worshipped either. Host honestly understands this as a Confucianist.
I noticed that there is a lack of things about Chinese Deity and spirit worship online, and as someone who is Chinese and has a family who came from the deep mountains of China, I am doing a lot of research to share with everyone.
But so far there’s like fifty thousand dead ends and I what to cry at the amount of research I’m doing-
Update: This post seems to be getting more likes (who are we kidding, its just 4 likes) now so should I make a tag list or smthing? But I fear I will not be motivated to update like my other master list with a tag list (non religion related)
Hua shan (Mount Hua) 华山 is a mountain located near the city of Huayin in Shaanxi Province, east of Xi'an (Chang’an).
It is the "Western Mountain" of the Five Great Mountains of China, and has a long history of religious significance. The supreme deity of Mount Hua is Xiyue Dadi 西岳大帝 “the great emperor of the western summit”
The route up the mountain has been called one of the most dangerous hikes in the world.

The main reason I got into Chinese mythology in the first place is all thanks to the Lego show Monkie Kid. And one of the biggest ships in the fandom for that show is Macaque and Wukong.
I found out their opinion on the ship wasn’t very favorable, but I was curious as to why they didn’t like it. I was worried about making them uncomfortable, but I finally asked them if they were okay with me asking why and they said yes.
It turns out in the context of the show itself, they’re fine with the ship. It’s the way the fandom has depicted it that they have issues with.
Macaque doesn’t like how most of the blame can get shifted onto Wukong. While we still don’t know how their fight when down in the LMK interpretation, if it’s anything like what happened in JTTW then Macaque is equally at fault, and he acknowledges that.
Wukong doesn’t like how he’s often portrayed as sappy and super mushy romantic type. I asked if he’d ever considered if he was aroace and got a yes. I was like “I don’t want to pry if you don’t want to answer this, but as someone on the aroace spectrum, are you on that too?”. He didn’t want to answer though, and I can understand that. But I do still plan on asking him if he wants this knitted bee I have in the aroace colors for his altar if/when I get to that point. :3
"Xuande took a look at the man, who stood at a height of nine chi, and had a two chi long beard; his face was of the colour of a dark zao, with lips that were red and plump; his eyes were like those of a crimson phoenix. He had a dignified air and looked quite majestic."
