Arthroscopic subacromial decompression is one of the most commonly performed surgeries in the world 🌎. The outcomes as good as they can be are unblinded. This means the surgeons doing the research and tracking outcomes are judging themselves. There is increasing literature showing no difference between decompression, diagnostic arthroscopic (where they go in just to look around), and Physical Therapy!
