On quite rare occasions did Tiberius and Eloise leave their little girl home alone. The two vampires had business needed attending to and Jessica did not want to be in their way, somehow finally managing to ensure them that she would be okay for an hour or so. If she can survive a werewolf attack, she could handle this, but on one condition: she must stay inside the house with the door locked tight.

After her parents left, Jessica, as all young children did, grew rather bored stuck in a house and broke the rules by stepping outside on the porch. She figured five minutes for fresh air wouldn’t hurt anybody. Unfortunately, how wrong she was. Jess ended up staying outside on this beautiful day longer than a few minutes as she played with her teddy bear and jump rope. “One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, four-” Jess became so enraptured by the game, she hardly took notice of the man approaching the porch until he made it to the steps. She stopped jumping. “Hey, I remember you.”
