Blading Barca Video [For Relevant BCN Magazine]
I never thought I'd say it, but skating is pretty damn cool – and no, I'm not talking about skateboarding...
'Get your skates on', an english idiom usually used to tell someone to hurry the f**k up, has, in the last few days, taken on a whole new meaning for me. Taken literally by these five young guys, the art of rollerblading is, for them, not simply a sport, but a way of life. And from the looks of this video, it seems like a bloody good one at that! Shot in and around Barcelona, these guys are in no way restricted to skate ramps, instead they have set their sights on the streets, finding diverse and challenging places to put their skates to. But rather than listening to my poor attempts at naming the tricks and manoeuvres, watch the video for yourself and get ready to be astounded...and maybe a little jealous of Chris Dafick, Adriá Saa, Leon Humphries, Marc Moreno, and Paco Rey's almost incomprehensible skills.
