Marine Art - No knock-offs here... I have great respect for Guy Harvey, Carey Chen and the many other great marine artists out there. I’ve never copied any of their work, no need to copy. I can compose my own too well. I have used them for reference, but only after I’ve created my compositions. This commission shown is all my original visionary creation. It is based on others I did before where the fish is blasting out of the water. I love the above and below water effect, you’ll see it in most of my marine art pieces. This design of mine started as all do with a pencil on paper, I do it often without photographic reference in sight to influence it. Once I know what I want and how I want it, then reference comes into play if necessary. This is a yacht salon window. @donziyachts Roscioli Yachts commissioned me for many years to create one of a kind original art creations in glass for their Donzi’s main salon windows. I believe I have 12, 15 or possibly 20 windows in the Donzi Sportfish Yachts over the years ranging from the 54- footers to the 80-footers. With them building such great yachts,... why not add extra feet of luxury? Prior to the LED lighting generation, we illuminated these windows with High-Voltage neon in the past. It is what was available at the time. These custom windows are most often layered glass. To explain the scenario, the art or carving is on thick Ultra-Clear tempered safety glass, this glass is the one that light must pass up and through in order to illuminate the carving. Yachts out on the ocean and in full sun can never really have open clear glass... it should be dark and tinted. I install a thin piece of black tempered glass to the inside, this has dual purpose, a tint effect and it adds great contrast to the white of the carved glass. Suit of Shining Armour, Full Dress Blues,... I feel as powerful in my element and in this suit of mine, my uniform!!! It is a lot to wear while trying to carve out small precision pieces of design. These are small intricate pieces of this elaborate design, an original art creation of mine. Yes, it is typical traditional acanthus leaves, but they were not copied. There is nothing more elegant, more sexy than great styled acanthus leaves, they are in-of themselves sexy figures. They wrap and entwine so natural and elegantly around themselves and whatever pillar or post you give them. The incredible control I have with this tool is to be believed,... I am more than impressed and I’ve been doing this for 30 years. This is the main shower door of a 5 piece 1/2” thick low-iron tempered glass shower enclosure. Seal of Approval!!! Well for the most part,... sometimes I feel I can scrap it and do one better! Not!!! Some or most of us artist types are our own worst critics. Good or Bad??? Who cares, if it drives our creative side, bring it! I have been on a serious mission for at least the last 18 of my 30 years. This mission has been to out due myself with my previous piece, do it better, best... without regard of time or budget. Silly for some smart guys or budget trackers, hell I never said I was smart as much as I am talented. Talent oozes from my pores, this talent is taking glass art to new levels, levels never reached before. This only a few could really recognize. I sure do!!! This seal goes on every piece I create, it is added with pride to the brand which will soon become most evident. All my efforts to over deliver are my payoff, especially when people find me from Googling this signature. The Art of Glass meets the Art of Placement... this by the distinguished designer Joseph Berkowitz JAB DESIGN GROUP. Look close at this design, it shows a sculptural glass wall set in a custom modern kitchen as a focal feature. More like a work of fine art which is exactly what it is. Joe is a bold adventurous visionary, his style is highly refined with a knack to add impact pieces. His choice to include a custom glass wall of this kind in this kitchen design of his is an exquisite one, it blew me away when I saw it. He knows my work in glass, he knows this is a perfect opportunity for us to collaborate. This design is tall thick narrow custom contoured glass columns. These columns vary in shape and width, they go floor to ceiling close to the island. It is a dramatic space design. I am posting this drawing for all my Designers, Architects, Builders and Contacts that follow to see. The client it was created for would need a major demo renovation to complete it which they are hesitant to do. In my opinion this design must be done somewhere, and soon… it is that cool. Fun Carve, Classic Floral Motif. This is a frameless shower enclosure made in low-iron ultra-clear safety glass. I free-handed these corner designs based on the wallpaper sample seen. What you see is light carving and shading with a sandblaster, it looks so cool and 3-D. The client is ecstatic with it,... so am I. Thanks to Sasser’s Glass in Palm Beach both for their referral and for their excellent fabricated shower and install. Work in Progress.. Mizner CC. Boca Raton. Artistic Collaboration... Dreamt up by the talented team at KWD. Krent Wieland is a prominent landscape architect in Delray Beach Florida #kwdesign_team he and his team designs these great features. From there this creative water wall was built by Rock Star Pools of Naples #rockstarpools and these gorgeous glass jewels are my expertise... this is my glass technique. This is not blue glass, I wish it was!!! I so wish they made a perfect shade of blue for me. It is Ultra-Clear crystal chiseled glass laminated to thin blue glass and crystal mirror. These blocks are 6” wide by 24” tall and approximately 3” deep. They look so frickin good in person!!! Water will soon be running down this wall washing over these cool glass blocks, I cannot wait. Custom Art Glass Bar - Just waiting for the ship to deliver. (The liquor of course) This was a super cool project for a private condo bar. The width is about 7 1/2 feet at the widest point. This is cut and bonded sculptural glass. These sketches are original designs and it’s a hand signed work of art. Of the two sketch options, the stacked chiseled would’ve been much more impressive. It was a little out of budget. These seen are the base glass tops which make the corner bar. Additional shelves might come next above and below, above will likely be with mirror!
