Sometimes you just gotta dance like nobody is watching, even if they are. Maybe especially then. I did that tonight. It was a goth dance party and I’m so glad I went. Full honesty, the goth look is attractive. I dont know why.

I just decided that I don’t give a damn what people think. I was there to dance and have fun. And I did just that. I’ve never been hit on so much. Unfortunately it’s usually gay guys rather than women (no offense intended just zero interest in dudes), but this time it was like a 4:1 ratio girls to guys.

Near the end of the night I was like, whatever, they aren’t playing songs I know but they are danceable. So I danced. It was great. I know my dad is upset I didn’t get any numbers but I’ve repeatedly told him that if I’m gonna have kids (unlikely at my age or 35) it has to be with a Christian woman. So far not many willing candidates. I’m moving to AZ either this fall or next. I will NOT be here when I’m 40. No way.

Moral of the story is, force yourself to go out. If you only live for vacations, your life will stagnate. Have fun in a godly way. You CAN have a good time and not hook up. 15 years ago I’d laugh if you said this to me. Substance over sex is so much better.

Your beauty will fade, your charm will falter, but a heart that loves Jesus will always be without compare. Be beautiful in the Lord. Seek beauty that seeks beauty, and an ugly day will be a rare tolerance.

Do you ever wonder why most people’s fun is considered fun?

I wonder when I look at tv, why some of the things that they call fun in the world is considered fun?

Why is going to house parties, parties, strip clubs, dance clubs, drinking, drugs, etc. considered fun? Why is not being present through alcohol, drugs, etc. considered fun? Many times after all the “fun”, you don’t even remember this the next day.

Have you ever wondered that?  Also, If you don’t do these things you are considered “not fun”. So in order to “turn up” you have to be drinking, smoking, taking drugs and engaging indirectly or directly in sexuality to have fun.

Where does this form usually leads to?  Becoming assaulted due to being inebriated, fighting due to inebriation, cheating, putting yourself in situations where you can get hurt, etc. 

But, That is the fun of the world. 

We as Christians have different forms of fun. Our fun forms relationships, allows us to become closer with family and friends, allows us to look introspectively in ourselves as well as enjoy the world as God intended. 

Christians CAN HAVE FUN.

I mean, we can have lots of fun.. Here are some suggestions below.

go to the movies

go to amusement part

Going on a picnic

Having a dance battle at your home. 

going to the beach

watching the sunset

singing karaoke and laughing when you make mistakes.

Exploring a place you have never been before. 

Watching a comedy show

taking a walk

go skating

go biking

One thing that I do with my child is make up songs while we are driving. We just laugh and laugh.. I try to rhyme the words, so it can get pretty funny.
