Does he remind you of anyone? There’s an NCIS marathon on tv today and I’m watching for the 100th time. The episode Mind Games (2005), not one of my favorites, was on. The story is about a serial killer who has tortured, mutilated and murdered over 20 women. He is scheduled to be executed in the electric chair in a few days and wants to talk to Gibbs one more time and get his sentence changed to life in prison. He’s an incredibly CREEPY person, BUT for the first time I noticed what I think is a startling resemblance to another actor. The man above is Christopher Shyer, a Canadian actor who has appeared in several series as well as doing guest appearances on many U.S. television shows. Early in the show it HIT ME. Shyer reminded me of BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH. Is it “just me” or does anyone else out there see the striking resemblance?

Christopher Shyer won a UBCP award for his work in “Debris,” Episode 3 “Solar Winds.” He appears at about the 45-minute mark.

Christopher Shyer, who plays several roles in the touring production that returns to Baltimore in November for another run at the Hippodrome, has organized a musical show that he and fellow "Mormon" cast members will present as a fundraiser to benefit programs for people living with mental illness. The event will take place at Sheppard Pratt on the off-day for "Mormon," Nov. 9.
Shyer has a personal reason to add this extra activity to his schedule. His brother has schizophrenia.
"I think what motivated me to seek out the chance to help raise money for Sheppard Pratt Health System and the work that they do is that in some way, call it karma, I can help contribute to the greater good," Shyer said in a press release. All proceeds "will go to supporting Sheppard Pratt, so they can continue the good work they do, helping people like my brother."
