hey so quick question if chronicoms don’t have gender (and i am directly quoting enoch on that) why do we still use he/him pronouns of enough??? or she/her for sybil?? that feels inaccurate

Okay so idk if it works this way or not, I just had some random late night thought-
The Chronicoms in AoS are primarily composed of a plastic alloy. And the thing we all know about plastic is that it melts once it gets too close to a sufficient heat source
So hypothetically, if Chronicoms got too close to a fireplace, they'll just. Melt
(I'm imagining a scene like this btw):
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Season 1 : Dealing with 084's, powered individuals, pyschopaths and Hydra.
Season 4,5,6,7 : Dealing with androids, robots, chronicoms and aliens that are all hell bent on world domination.
✨ UPGRADES ✨
What If (AoS edition)
What if Whitehall had died in prison?
What if Coulson was never revived?
What if "Skye" was never recruited?
What if Hand had refused Ward's request to accompany her?
What if Hydra had never learned of the Kree underground city?
What if Coulson had met with Jiaying?
What if someone else had been stranded to Maveth?
Whaf if Andrew had never become Lash?
What if Bobbi and Hunter had never been disavowed?
What if Daisy had never touched Charles Hinton?
What if Fitz had reported Radcliffe?
What if Daisy had never rejoined S.H.I.E.L.D.?
What if Robbie had killed Aida?
What if Piper had never cooperated with Hale?
What if Fitz had asked for help (either about hearing voices or with the gravitonium)?
What if the Chronicoms had failed to snatch Fitz?
What if Deke had shot Wilfred Malick in 1931?
What if Nathaniel Malick had never seen Quake in action?

Time travel done right
I also loved the construction of the story.
I loved how the bud guys lost because they kept getting in each other’s way. If Nathaniel had been able to kill the SHIELD agents they had in hand Fitz would never get there since they needed Jemma not only to put the device together but also her wedding ring. And of course if Nate didn’t send Kora to stop Daisy not only Sibyl might’ve gotten her info on Fitz but most importantly Kora wouldn’t learn Nate was a liar and creep and wouldn’t change sides.
The use of time travel to not only explain the end of last season (people in hazmat suits, why Chronicoms destroyed the temple) but also as a decoy for the heist reminded me of Steven Moffat at his best. They made Sibyl think she she destroyed Zephyr by giving her the one that winked to the past while they got onto her ship for the real plan.
Since Enoch kenw spoilers about the Team going their own ways I knew they had to had access to the time stream device but I loved that the time Fitz had with it made him better at using it than Sibyl. Enoch didn’t stay behind just by accident. He and Koenigs used that time to spread the pieces of the quantum tunnel device among SHIELD agents and built that platform behind the wall. This whole timeline that Sibyl created existed so Fitz could get Kora to live.
And then in their final confrontation both Coulson’s capture and Daisy’s fight with Nate were distractions to keep the bad guys where they wanted them. Coulson’s team took away Sibyl’s control over Chronicoms and Daisy destroyed the ships. That’s how you execute a plan Sibyl. No lasers in space necessary.
But what I loved most about that plan was that they didn’t just killed Chronicoms. I kept hoping that they would save them since many were forcefully reprogrammed (including Enoch’s friends and fellow Anthropologists) and the show did it. By Kora and May’s powers combined.
And to make things better when Fitz was getting all this figured out and FitzSimmons were preparing everything they got to live. Be happy family. Finally be together in time and space for years. And have their daughter. And since they were playing with time travel for Piper and Flint it only took moments.
I loved all the final references and call backs. From 084 to Victoria Hand and Grace to Lola. I loved that Piper and Flint were back and that Davis got resurrected. I loved the one final tie-in into movies with Endgame Quantum Realm time travel even though it looks like Snap didn’t happen in the timeline of Agent’s of SHIELD (that ending was too happy to be during Blip).
But most of all I was so happy to be vindicated on how time travel works. The way it creates branching timelines that are their own universes. The way you can use Quantum Realm to go back to your original one if you have a beacon on the other side to help with navigation. This made most sense with Deke and everything else we’ve seen in MCU and I loved how casually Fitz revealed it like it was so obvious.
And how everyone reacted by forcing him to save this new timeline too. He wasn’t there in the Lighthouse on destroyed Earth so he doesn’t remember but everyone else knows first you save the other timeline then you go back to save yours.
friendly reminder that fitzsimmons were fully prepared and going to die and sacrifice themselves at the end of season 6 to stop the chronicoms and none of their team family even knew.
another friendly reminder is that the team probably didn’t even have a proper goodbye to fitzsimmons when they left for the temple, not knowing that the couple would live around another four years and have a freakin kid before seeing any of them again.
(the last time they spoke to daisy was to tell her may basically died)
THEORY THURSDAY: MCU PHASE 4 TIME-TRAVEL
MCU time-travel, -streams, TVA, Multiverse, Kang, etc., leave ample room for MCOC tie-in theories.
But did it start with AoS?
If the Loki show lacks any reference to Chronicoms or the events of @AgentsofSHIELD Season 7..
..do we riot?
