My part of a sketch trade with the lovely @chrysanthemia ♥♥♥ she told me I could choose one of her lady OCs so I picked her eponymous Chrysanthemia :>
This could definitely be more elaborate, but since these days I am stuck in a “I can only draw faces and nothing else” phase, this really helped a lot! Here’s hope.
A drawing I did for cocchilweran since she's been so kind to take care of my animals during my vacation <3
These are Iknish (left, her char) and Malamor (right, mine). I know that's not very detailed and accurate, but I tried to put in it more symbols than aesthetic!
The Tag Game
Rule 1: Post the Rules
Rule 2: Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post then make 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to your post.
Rule 4: Let them know you’ve tagged them.
I have been tagged twice, so I’m answering to two sets of questions 83
Questions from lostinthebabylon:
1. Do you like cooking?
Let's be honest from the beginning: I can't cook. I rarely have to cook for myself because I always have other people cooking for me, so my laziness has always kept me from becoming skilled at it "8D but I love to cook in company of friends, especially when we prepare exotic dishes that I don't usually get at home! I'm sure I'll get better when I'll have to live alone or something 8D
2. Name three among your favourite movies.
Uhhh always a hard choice. Let's say...Amélie, Spirited Away, Across the Universe, just because they’re each an example of things I absolutely love in movies: visual poetry, mature animation, and beautiful music number.
3. The ending of a book/movie/manga/whatever that made you cry.
As for books, I cried at the end of ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, GUESS WHY. Definitely also at the end of ‘La morte della bellezza’ by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, which is side by side with Carl Sagan’s Cosmos among my favourite books of all times. As for movies, I’d say The Pianist, but I’m not sure it would be accurate because it’s really not about the ending…I basically cried my heart out during the whole movie.
4. Your OTP #1 of all times.
I'm not really sure I have one that rises above all the others 8D If I'd have to choose, it'd probably be one of my first OTPs because of years and years of affection...I recently re-read the first books of the Vampire Chronicles and all the feelings for Lestat and Louis hit me hard, so I'm going with that.
5. Dogs or cats?
CATS CATS CATS. Not that I don't like dogs, but my life revolves around cats and the desire to costantly have them around me 8D
6. Are you a morning person?
It's hard to tell, since usually my morning begins at 11:30 AM 8DDDDD NOT REALLY MUCH TIME TO FIND OUT. But, no, I'm really not.
7. Do you know I have no idea what to write next and it will probably take me another hour to figure it out?
I guess I do now 8D and I add, after having to write my questions as well: I understand you SO much.
8. Do you play some instrument? Or, have you ever been interested in playing some instrument?
Nope, I'm awful at instruments! I learned a bit of flute in middle school, but that's all. Does my voice count as an instrument?8DD I take singing lessons! I wish I had learned to play an instrument, there are so many I'd try...guitar and piano, but also harp, ukulele, banjo, marimba HECK EVEN THEREMIN WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY COOL.
9. Are you okay watching horror movies or are you scared of them?
I'm not really scared of them, but most of the time I just find them pretty boring! I like some, though, especially when there is a good narration and the tension is always keeping you on the verge of heart attack 8D
10. Writing that last question just made me remember I watched a horror movie today and now I’m scared, come here with me please?
Just let me put my shoes on first!
11. Say goodbye in another language and let’s go have some sleep.
Gentile signora...arrivederci! *Elio rules*
1. What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
Rob a library of all their travel guides and start to plan the MOST AWESOME TRIP AROUND THE WORLD EVER. Predictable, I know, but still my biggest dream.
2. What is the fictional character you despise the most?
8D I have to admit that the first name that popped in my mind was DOLORES UMBRIDGE.
3. What is the one thing you would change about yourself (either looks-wise or personality-wise)?
I certainly don’t think I don’t have perfect looks, but if I could change something in my personality I wouldn’t waste that chance 8D I often wish I could be less weak-willed and more able to say “no” and to take care of myself, as pampered as I am.
4. You are granted 5 minutes with your top celebrity crush: what is the ony thing you tell them/ask them (possibly no marriage proposals pls)?
Ugh this is so hard, I re-read my mails and messages a nauseating number of times before sending them because I so often feel the words I used are not effective enough or appropriate for the message I want to convey, can you imagine how long it’d take to think about how to use my only chance to communicate with someone I admire from afar? AGH I DON’T KNOW.
5. Where would you most want to live?
Honestly, I was born in Rome and I really, really don’t want to leave, no matter how many amazing cities there are elsewhere. I love my city so much, with all its flaws and with its immortal beauty ♥
6. Name 3 books you felt like chucking against the wall whilst reading.
First one that comes to my mind is “Merrick” by Anne Rice, because one thing is reading a book you don’t like, and one thing is reading a book you don’t like but that belongs to a series and risks to ruin a character you love 8D
Then I’d say the book I had to study for an exam about roman archaeology (I don’t remember the author), because the topic was so interesting but the book was awfully organized and written, and my frustration was endless especially because I was forced to read it, being for an exam, and most of all, it was SO expensive!! And last but not least, “The Nymph King” by Gena Showalter. Read for laughs so it’s not like I was expecting a high level literature piece, but it’ seriously one of the most atrocious things I’ve ever read 8D BUT ALSO A LOT OF FUN. But horribly bad.
7. Worst and best school memory.
I don’t know about worst and best, but picking a random good and bad one…I have a beautiful memory of when my teacher read us the Divine Comedy’s canto about Ulysses and me and my best friend listened in awe hugging each other. A bad one is when we had to write a short essay, and I chose a topic I was passionate about and put a lot of effort in it, and then the teacher said I had probably just copied some page from Internet.
8. A personal motto you try to live by.
When being strong for yourself seems hard, try to be strong for the sake of those who love you. Not saying it’s the best way, but it always worked for me.
9. If you could make a movie/tv series out of any book, which one would you pick?
Even if I knew it’d probably come out awfully, I have to say a tv series from Tolkien’s Silmarillion (no movie or trilogy could be enough). Provided that the elves would be played by actors who could actually pass of as elves.
10. If you were a superhero (or supervillain), what kind of superpower would you have?
If I could chose a power, I’d love either super-memory, so I could study history and languages and everything and remember stuff, or, simple but wonderful: teleportation. If I couldn’t chose, luck would probably grant me something very lame like TENTACLED ARMPITS.
11. Favourite word in a language that you are not a native speaker of.
I’ve always had an odd fascination with ‘lyijykynä’, pencil in finnish. I couldn’t believe that it was possible to pronounce it, after the first glance!!8DD
This has been very entertaining 8DD and I loved reading the answers of my friends who already made this! I don’t know if I reach the tag number, most of my friends already did this…but I’ll tag someone anyway and then don’t worry if you don’t want to do it\do it again!
1. Name one videogame you loved in the past and one you loved recently, if you have it!
2. Do you have any guilty pleasures?
3. If you could pick a field in which you could give a huge contribution (medicine\astronomy\archaeology etc.) what would you pick? Not for the sake of the world, but for your own satisfaction 8D
4. Is your favourite colour also the same of most of the clothes you own?
5. Do you follow a webcomic that you’d recommend?
6. Tell a funny story from one of your trips!
7. What do you consider one of your best qualities?
8. Pick one of your favourite man-made structure and one of your favourite natural place in the world.
9. What is something you’re currently obsessed on?
10. What’s a book or music album that has a cover you love, regardless of its contents?
11. What is the first movie you remember watching in a movie theatre?
The Widow is an editorial project that I pursued for years and only this year I succeeded to complete, with my own great satisfaction! It's something that I did alone, an autoproduction (without the help of a publisher) and now I'm selling it on -> Etsy <-

With a little gift for anyone who buys it... an original drawing of Chrysanthemia by me! for FREE
How's Chrysanthemia?
Chrysanthemia is an original character born many years ago as a NWN adventurer. From there, she became a D&D roleplayed character and then the heroine of my own artistic projects. She's no more just an half drow sorceress, she's a goddess, a muse,a real creature.
This book tells in a poetical way an easy but romantic story with her and her first follower. A story of love, pain and magic.
